Great hotel...okay people
The room was very comfortable and the housekeeping staff did a nice job. I found the representatives at the front desk to be rather rude and having an attitude where they could care less about the traveler. The valet folks were great.

Great Hotel, Location, Erroneous Bill
Checkin was flawless from Valet to Sign-In to Luggage being delivered to room. Problem started when I received final bill. I approved the $42 for parking, and $9.99 for Internet. What I did not approve was what they said was a smoking fee of $250, they said I smoked in my room, I did not. They said that the manager came to my room and told me I would be charged, he did not. What did happen was, my wife and I were have some "Couple Time" if you know what I mean shortly after we arrived.. There was a knock on the door and I asked who it was and they said it was security. I told them we were undressed and they told me to get dressed and open the door. I did, it took a little time to compose myself, got dresses and opened the door. No name was given, nor did he come in my room. All I could hear him say was, this is a non=smoking hotel, so please do not do so. He did not ask me if I was or to come in room to check, that is all he said and left. I know all Hotels (or most) are smoke-free and you sign a paper stating you know and the consequences if you do. I would or have never smoked in any Hotel knowing this. We do smoke, but every cigarette we smoked was done outside in an area where all smokers were smoking. I refused to sign the final bill stating this fact and was told that the manager would call me when he came in. He never did. I did start a process of dispute with my AMEX Card. Just because of the way this was done, I will never trust going to this hotel again.

The man, the myth, the legend
Great experience
Great experience. We wanted a Christmasy night in Boston, and the Millenium certainly met all of our expectations, and then some. Very elegant decor, warm rooms, and we were upgraded to a suite for no charge! We've stayed there twice now, and if we do Boston again and can afford it, Millenium is definitely our choice.

Perfect location, large and nice room
Nicely situated opposite Faneuil Hall. If you wish to avoid taxi fees ($25+) from airport: very convenient free shuttle bus from terminals to station "Airport" of "Blue Line". 2 stations to "Aquarium"($2.50)and 4 minutes walk. Parking fees in close-by car-parkings outrageous. One night $34! Hotel is rather in the tourist zone and not in the middle of shopping area.

Great hotel, great location
This hotel is directly across the street from Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market. With just a short walk to the North End, there are tons of dining options. There is an upscale feel to the hotel, the staff is very professional and the rooms are very clean. The rooms are a little pricey but for the location, it was worth it.

Great Location But...
We live about 2 hours outside of Boston and wanted to stay at a hotel in the city that was close to Quincy Market and local transportation. The location is great. We were able to walk across the street for a late night dessert and breakfast in the morning at Quincy Market. Unfortunately, the night we stayed was when they were cleaning up the trash from the outdoor market located right around the corner. Our room had a great view of the trash pile and the smell was that of rotting produce. You could hear the cleanup equipment into the early evening as well as the sounds from all the nearby bars. The street cleanup was impressive, but the odor lingered during our stay.We were also billed twice for the room. Once thru [...] and again by the hotel. Probably won't use [...] or the hotel again for our next trip to Boston.

Very much worth the price
We booked this hotel when we planned to attend the UFC fight in Boston. It was a fantastic location, and we were able to walk to the event and back. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied. The rooms were spacious, and the bed was one of the best I've slept in. The only things I would like to have seem differently was 1) There was no refrigerator in our room other than to purchase the items already in it. Fortunately we brought our own cooler, so we were able to use that, and it wasn't a huge inconvenience. 2) The valet parking was expensive, and not listed on the website, but considering it is Boston, we did somewhat expect it. 3) I saw on the website the hotel offered WIFI, but when I went to use it, I found it was an additional charge of $9.95. Overall, all 3 of these things were minor, and I would highly recommend it to someone looking for a comfortable, friendly, and very convenient place to stay in Boston.

Good place
Our trip to Boston was awesome. The location of the hotel & the staff were terrific. What we didn't like was the size of the bathroom & no sink room. When you turned the faucet on, it splashes back at you & out of the sink. No counters to put anything on. The shower doors leaked water all over the floor after we showered. The room had no microwave or fridge & for the money we spent, we should have had them. The wet bar & snacks was outrageously priced. We didn't touch any of it! They had a fruit market on our window side of the hotel Friday & Saturday. Very loud & we had to listen to the clean-up for 5 hours on Saturday night. No coffee pot, just the maker. You have to put your cup under the brewer to get the coffee. Thought that was odd!! The walls are very thin. We could hear people talking in their rooms & flushing their toilets. It's a nice place, but probably won't be back!! We ate twice at the restaurant. Very good.
