We love Boston

The staff is warm, friendly and very helpful. It's a great location to walk around and see the sites of Boston. Even in winter there's lots to do. The staff at the Custom House made us feel like they could not do enough for us.

Our room was freezing.....

We had a room on the 2nd floor facing the Black Rose Bar in Quincy Market. The location was great but there was a cold breeze coming in from the massive windows in the room. Our entire family woke up at 3am looking for additional blankets and sweatshirts to put on. The heat was cranked up as high as it went but it was just too cold. I let the front desk know and they refunded the valet parking charge since we had such a miserable night. I was okay with that and I would stay at the hotel again since it is beautiful, but I would ask for a higher room and/or one where the heat was working.

Heart of Boston

Very nice historical building in the center of boston, with just a short walk to many fine dining restraunts, and the best irish pubs Boston has to offer. Because it's in the center of town and surrounded by bars and pubs, it gets very loud at night. I would recommend a higher level suit, we were on the 2nd floor with our room over looking the black rose pub, which was pretty loud til about 2 - 3 in the am.

Great location, close to everything

Hotel is next to Quincy Market, and near the harbor and Freedom Trail. View from the observation deck was a fun plus. Our room was absolutely beautiful. Brft was not free but each continental item was priced at about $2 each, with coffee being free. Still scratching my head why they would charge $5 for a small bottle of water that was placed in the room, but that is really the only negative thing that I could possibly say about this place. The concierge was very knowledgeable and helped us plan our outings. No pool or restaurant but guests can use the Marriott Long Wharf which is located nearby.

Great location and excellent service.

The hotel is located in the harbor area with a lot to see and do within easy walking distance. We enjoyed the unique history and architecture of this building. Our room on the second floor was two stories with a loft. The atrium dome is fantastic! The 26th floor observatory has a great panorama of Boston and is especially outstanding at sunsets. The people who work at the hotel were friendly and helpful.

Italian district has great restaurants. Check with the hotel staff for ideas, reservations, location and get a map. Out of towners like us, needed a map and guidance to get around in the North neighborhood. Streets are not always easy to follow.
