I attempted to book into the hotel

I attempted to book into the hotel in central Boston, however I actually got booked into the Holiday Inn 3 miles away in a suburb called Andrew. This hotel was old / poorly mauintained and I got woken at 7am by someone drilling into the wall outside my window. The included breakfast was poor - I would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone. Double check when booking that you dont end up in this thing.

Holiday Inn Expess 69 Boston Street,

Very good directions from staff; this was a great location as the T was just around the corner and over a hill. Van available for $5 each for trip to airport. Across the back parking lot was a huge strip mall with a very large Target and Applebees and Olive Garden Restaurants. Beantown Trolley makes a stop in front of this hotel and Old Town Trolley stops in front of hotel next to it. Beantown delivers you back to the hotel; Old Town does not. Good breakfast daily; Really liked this hotel. It isn't a brand new hotel, but it's a really good place to stay for the prices. Seemed to have just enough parking. We would stay here again. It seemed to be handy for us--whether we used the T or drove the rental car. We used the T for getting around in Boston & the car to drive out to Lexington/Concord and to drive up to New Hampshire--not far away. This was one of the best hotel experiences we've had. I was really surprised at how helpful and friendly the staff was. They didn't give us a parking pass at check in, but that turned out to NOT be a problem. A pool would have been nice, but we were not there to use one, anyway, and I would rather have the parking spaces than have the pool, anyway. Parking in Boston is a rarity. If you drive, make sure there is a place to park when you get there; otherwise, take the T--you get there faster, with the T, too.

Shopping tip: Short walk from hotel

Shopping center right behind the hotel: Target, Applebees, Olive Garden, grocery store. If you forgot something, Target has everything. Room had a microwave & refrigerator. We stocked up on soft drinks and snacks for each night we got in. Had them in the fridge & microwave ready. HANDY & cheaper, too.

use the T in Boston you can buy a pass for 1 or 3 day or week pass. We bought a week pass for $15/person. Kids under 11 were free. Well marked stops and maps everywhere to get you to all attractions. The ferries over to USS Constitutions are included in the pass as well as city buses. Great value.

poor location.a little scary, fair price

This hotel was not covenient to Boston attractions...it was close to I93 and was in a pretty rough area. It was 200 yards from large shopping center with Target, Best Buy, etc. It does have free parking.

Affordable, convenient and comfortable

We drove in on Sunday and left on Friday. There is free parking, which is so hard to find in Boston. Don't plan on driving around the city. Traffic is crazy in Boston. Take the T (subway) and it will get to to just about anywhere you need to go. The hotel is next to a shopping plaza so if you forgot something it should be there, along with a couple of big name restaurants. Plan on the trolley tours. Best way to learn about historic Boston. We can not find a thing wrong with this hotel. Someone complained about a musty smell in the rooms, but I think it was from the air conditioner. Once in the room, you didn't smell a thing. Highway is right next to the hotel and we never heard any noises. Even the hallways and elevators were very quiet.

Sightseeing tip: Short walk from hotel

There is so much to do in Boston. Most places are just a short walk from any T station. Be sure to take a trolley tour. Some include the Duck Tour and the Charles River Cruise or Boston Harbor Cruise. Well worth the money! Check online for things to do before you go so you have some kind of plan.

Average Hotel, fine location

Location is good, 10-min walk from Subway, however, dirty neighborhood and wouldn't walk around at night. It's a bit noise due to closeness to highway.
