Charlesmark Hotel

reading other reviews, I knew that the room would be small. it is indeed small. But my main problem was air conditioning and the lights in the room. you have very little control over the fan. The ceiling lights were annoying, it took forever to figure how to turn these off

This was fine for me (solo), but if I were with another person, It might be a bit too small. CLEAN and nice shower, bath area.

We stayed here for 1 night in September 2012. The location was fantastic, close to all the sights we wanted to see, and we walked everywhere. Continental breakfast was included, which was a nice touch. The staff were fantastic, very helpful with direction, recommendations and local tips. The room was small, but nicely appointed. Modern bathroom fit out with speakers that were connected to the TV. Could have been improved with the provision of a safe. Would definitely recommend.

Botique and small but cute very close to shopping. But also close to pan handlers at night.

Great location. A great place to go and crash for a night but not a getaway hotel.

I had walked past this hotel many times and never noted it until this year. Looking directly out at the public library and less than a block from the subway, this hotel may be the best bargain in Copley. Clean, friendly, diligent staff, and a slight art deco feel. The bar is busy enough to make the place feel a part of the local scene but not overly noisy. Room was very comfortable with an excellent mattress in the bed. No street noise at night or early morning either. Breakfast was out by 5:45 AM nearly every day. Definitely give this one a try!

Room was small, but very nice. I would recommend to anyone wanting a room for one person. The Thai food in the lobbey was excellent.

I booked at the last minute and wasn't sure what to expect. The price was good for the area, so I feared the hotel would be a dive. I was pleasantly surprised. The front desk staff made my stay - they were extremely friendly and helpful. While the hotel isn't 5 star, it makes the best of what it is. Great location. Newly redecorated rooms that are modern, slick and comfortable. The bed was very comfortable. And the bathroom - albeit small - was beautifully finished. The view in my room was limited at best, but otherwise nothing to complain about. I'd stay there again - based on helpfulness of front desk staff alone. Oh, and the location is perfect. Only downside: parking was a pain and not cheap.

This is a great little place that has very friendly staff. If you want to stay in downtown, this is a great choice for adults. Pleanty of bars and restuarants in the area. Public transportation is readily available so you can go anywhere in the city from here. The bar on the first floor was great, reasonably priced and friendly staff.
