Attractive historic hotel offering traditional Southern hospitality
The Wyndham Whitney Hotel rests within a building that once served as a bank, located in the business district of New Orleans. Elegant historic interiors give the hotel a calm and graceful air. good location, small room
The hotel was in a good location for us. it was clean and the staff was freindly. our room was small with a window you could not see out of and located next to stairs and utility closets that were quite busy thru the night. The parking fees were very high at $ 50 night. even for new orleans. the breakfasts were good.

Good weekend de-stresser
Was overall good. Staff was friendly and accommodating to our needs. The room was a little noisy due to the old windows but the view was great. Pretty good location. Not down in all the commotion of the quarter but not too far of a walk. Weekday traffic is pretty high as this is the business district. Lots of good restaurants nearby.

Google - "New Orleans coupons" for coupons to restaurants and WW2 museum (WW2 movie is a must see.) Take the E2 bus to/from airport it's a easy walk to hotel for $2 a person. Take exact change.

New Years Hotel
The location was good, outside of the French Quarter but close enough to walk. Price was ok, it was New Years so more than usual. Hotel is nice, clean, staff is very nice and helpful.

Average
Offered room service but there was no memu in the room and front desk could not provide one. Walls of room appeared to have water damage under windows also rotten wood on window seals. Were there for our 40th anniversity and had a good time in NO.

AC in room didn't work well. Shower control handle was broken and temperature control was very difficult to manange.

This hotel is located in the CDB and is very nice, clean and close to everything. The price was great and we will stay here again.

Forget valet
Imagine paying more money for parking at this hotel than paying for car rental per day. Rooms are small, an old bank building offices converted to hotel rooms. Location is good, and staff very friendly.

Convenient to French Quarter and uptown
Walking distance to popular tourist spots. Staff friendly Hotel is old but clean except for bolsters on bed, one of which was quite stained. No top sheet on bed until last day of stay. Duvet on comforter was to be used as top sheet and looked clean but never changed. A top sheet was put on bed for last day of stay. Probably would not stay here again because of that and the fact that there was no grab bar anywhere around bathtub. (Other hotels have at least one in bath tub in non handicap rooms.) Needs a refrigerator in room. TV was old tube type and channels were identified wrongly on screen.

One can walk to FQ as about as fast as waiting for the streetcar and riding there. But, seniors can ride the streetcars at very reduced prices.

Enjoyed our stay. Walking distance to everything. Had to pay $40.00 for valet parking due to no hotel parking. Staff was very polite and helpful. I also felt very safe with the hotel's location. If I ever return I'll stay at the Whitney again.
