Good Location, overpriced for its services
Pro: great lobby with fountain, food/drink services, and excellent musician on weekend nights. Cons: greediness - they charge you for things that are free in other hotels: no free breakfast, no free wifi, no microwave or refrigerator. Rooms are tiny, with a lot of unnecessary furniture. Everything is additonal charge. Conclusion: OK for business trip stay. Not good for family vacation.

Very nice room with a GREAT view of the Mississippi River
Had a Great time!! The hotel is very nice and it's right in the middle of everything. Sheraton has valet parking, which is perfect to be in the same location where your staying. Like I said its right in the middle of everything (dining, bourbon st, shopping centers, etc). For people that like to do a lot of drinking and don't feel like driving, this location is perfect for you!

good hotel for business travelers
the rooms are nice and relatively spacious with good views to the Mississippi river from upper floors. Buffet breakfast (2nd floor) is nice but rather expensive. The so-called "restaurant" that serves lunch and light dinner fare is located in the "sunken area" in the middle of the lobby. It really is more like a bar with tables surrounding it. Pretty awful: limited seletcio of items, loud and noisy athmosphere, exposed in all directions, not a place for conversations, service is slow.

Everything was first class but there were better deals to be had. I will shop around more next time we travel to New Orleans. THe food in the restaurant was average at best.

New Orleans 2012 Vacation
The Not So Great: Check in took over an hour. There were issues with the software. The Great: Staff was wonderful; Room was very nice. Especially liked the floor to ceiling window. Bed was comfortable. We had a good night rest each night. Was able to print our boarding passes in the lobby.

Coop's Place on Decatur 3 blocks east of Cafe Du Mond - looks like a dive, but the food is well worth the 20 minute wait we had in line.

Excellent location, had everything we were looking for!
My husband and I are chose to stay here for a New Years getaway. The location is great and the staff was wonderful. We stayed on the club level and couldn't have been happier with that decision. The access to the food, drinks and staff was quite nice. There was always someone available in the lounge area to get us anything that we needed. We were nothing less than impressed with the entire stay. We'll definitely be staying here again on our next trip to New Orleans!

Always great at the SheraTONE!
Will always stay here when in NOLA. Our favorite place hands down. Close enough to bourbon yet far enough away from the wildness. Super close to jarrahs and the mall as well. Recommend paying the extra per night for club level.

Great New Orleans Location
The staff is very friendly and helpful. Although the computers were "down" at check-in, the staff worked quickly and efficiently to get the guests into rooms - check-out was a breeze. Having stayed at other locations on past visits, I will say this Sheraton has a great location on Canal Street. It is a short walk to all the great eating and shopping places. The in-house Starbucks hours seemed unpredictable. This was our second stay at this Sheraton and we enjoy it enough that we will continue to make it our choice of where to stay for future trips to New Orleans.

The Ruby Slipper is THE place to eat breakfast! A short walk from the Sheraton, the food is great and the price reasonable.
