Great location, great price
This is always one of my go to spots in the quarter. Rooms do smell a bit musty, but that's par for the course in New Orleans.

New Orleans
My only issue was my bathroom had hair from a previoous quest in the tub. It showed the room had not been cleaned sufficently. Also the bathroom was tight and small even for myself. Finally, my air in my room was not effective. Ihad the temperature down to 65 and it was warm in the room still. I barely heard the A/C go off and was difficult to sleep. Over all, it was still a decent stay.

This hotel was really nice. The hotel lobby was beautiful and there was plenty of nice staff to help us with our questions throughout the trip. Our flight left later than check out and they held our bags while we went to city park free of charge. Our room was very quiet and the halls were also very quiet. We were very close to bourbon and royal. Also, walking distance of Jackson square. The restaurants were expense so we didnt dine there but it was very close to nice classy restaurants. Would stay again.

Best hotel experience
I could not be happier with our stay. I came with a friend and I treated my parents for their 30th anniversary. Upon hearing this, the bell staff sent champagne and chocolate covered strawberries to their room to wish them a happy anniversary. My room was upgraded for free. EVERY staff person we met was amazing, friendly, helpful. Even though the hotel was at 89% capacity the Saturday night we were there, it was still quiet, clean, and an overall pleasure to stay at. The hotel bar is a bit expensive but still a nice place to relax.

NOT a 4 Star night
This hotel has not be updated since it was built!!Guessing 80s by decor!! Bathroom ceiling so low my 5' wife could amost touch ceiling! Tiny room, stains on curtains, peeling paint on carpet. Lobby Ugly, congested---Staff was nice--if you could find them--had to change rooms from one tower to another & lug all our bags--then the key did not work & another trip back to the lobby to get correct! Uck have stayed in numerous NO hotels--Not this one again--------Price was 4 star for a 2star hotel!!

Great hotel
The hotel was great. We got a good price for the Mardi Gras dates. But the hotel should give free internet in the rooms, not only offer the service with an extra charge.

Great Stay in the French Quarter !
Have stayed at many, many Marriotts and always love coming here. Staff is super friendly, location is perfect, and rooms are in great shape. Can get anywhere in town from here, and during Mardi Gras the parades go right in front of the hotel !

Loads of fun in New Orleans
My partner and I visited New Orleans for Thanksgiving, and we had a grand time. Since I'm an elite member with Marriott, I had access to the concierge lounge which provide FREE breakfast, h'or dourves, and desserts. The hotel room was nice, but the view of the Mississippi River was awesome. The French Quarter's was around the corner. I am looking forward to visiting New Orleans soon, and return to the Marriott. The only drawback is the Marriott does not give full points when the room is purchased through a third party.

Make sure to place your wallet in your front pocket, and avoid the less active part of the French Quarter at night.

Good experience
I have stayed in better but far more worse places. It was very adequate and would stay there again. My only complaint is that there was not Internet in the rooms and you have to be aware that there will be additional charges for many things. We did not have additional charges because we were careful. Like don't drink the bottled water left on the desk or make local calls. We mentioned it was our 25 th anniversary and was presented with a $75 food and alcohol voucher. We appreciated that. It is an expensive city.

Go to Deanies for seafood that's reasonable and big enough to share. Harrah's also has a reasonable buffet.
