Yikes

This will be the last time I don'tt pay attention to earlier reviews. I read them & thought, "Oh, it can't be that bad." I was right, it was worse. The only thing that keeps this place from being in the zero rating is the staff. They are a very nice group of folks & did all that I asked of them but that's over shadowed by the german roaches in the room, the prositutes & drug dealers in the lobby & the general filth. The hotel, at one time, was a very nice place & if an owner went in, killed the bugs, really cleaned the rooms, maybe put some new paint on the place it could return to it's original glory, but right now? This is not the place to stay in New Orleans unless, like myself, you find you have no option other than your car? I think I'd stay in my car.

Filthy

have never stayed in such a dirty hotel; framework at elevator heavily chipped; missing tiles in hallway floor; no chair to sit in room; room cold; had no blankets, sheets wrinkled, cigarette burns on mattress; sweat stains on pillow; no toilet paper dispenser; cracks all over tile in bathroom; did not change sheets or towels until requested; slept with my clothes on; tried buying water in vending machine; machine took my four quarters and a $1 bill; no water came out; machine returned quarters but not $1 bill (I did get the $1 bill the next morning at the check-in/out desk) and cockroaches!!! Yuck!!!

Hurricane stay

This hotel is horrible. the rooms are musty, there were no towels or toilet paper. The air did not work and the cable was broken. The sheets were dirty and there is no phones in the rooms and the wifi doesn't work. Please stay away and never visit this place. Awful.

ok if you dont have another option

Booked this hotel 2 weeks before the new Orleans marathon and didn't have many other options. Helpful staff but not the nicest room and we could hear what was happening in other rooms and outside. Room seemed clean but the shower leaked on the floor and there was spackle on the walls.

Insananity

The neighborhood was terrible, and next the elevator worked when it wanted, the humidity on my floor was terrible for inside a hotel, the door partialy closed, roaches, no curtains, no hbo, and last but certianly not least my brother was robbed after we tried to make the best of the situation. This was the worst trip/hotel experience ever. The room AC didnt get cool until 5:30.

Close to town but bad part of town

The only reason I booked this hotel is because it was cheap. If I had known how trashy it was I wouldn't mind paying extra for a nicer hotel. Not a good place for kids or women traveling alone.
