Lots of fun

Staff was excellent as was the location. Easy walk to the trolley and great sights. Quiet so you can still sleep at night. A bit muggy in the hotel room mostly related to the lack of a bathroom fan.

Great place to see New Orleans the sites

The hotel itself was comfortable and clean. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Taxi and tour bus availability when not walking the sites of the city. Walking distance to Harrah's casino and the French Quarter. Tours offered to the swamps, cemeteries, voodoo, city, ghosts. We took the swamp tour and the dinner cruise down the Mississippi booked by the courteous concierge. Ate at Cafe Dumond via taxi although I have walked it before. Love this city and this hotel!!

Great location but needs help!

Cold showers are not to my liking. You have to let the water run full blast on hot for 10-15 minutes to get a "warm" shower and look at all the wasted water. The ice machine on our floor was broken the entire six days of our stay. I would also like towels without holes and sheets that are not stained and worn out!! I'll try somewhere else next time.

A perfect New Orleans experience

The JW is situated in the heart of the French Quarter and easy walking to many of the city's attractions. We walked to excellent restaurants, Bourbon St., and the new WWII museum. The JW Marriott staff was welcoming, helpful with directions, and the doormen were always ready to assist with bags and other needs with a big smile! The jazz club in the JW was an easy way to hear smooth jazz without needing to go any distance. Would definitely stay here again and recommend this hotel.

Sightseeing tip: Long walk from hotel

We took advantage of three wonderful tours. The Racontours Walking tour of the Garden District, The New Orleans Movie Tour, and the Confederacy of Cruisers Bike Tour. All portrayed the different historical elements which make New Orleans what it is. The World War II Museum is a must see.
