Great location
The location is great - this hotel is a very close walk to Bourbon Street. Our room was very quite, and we did not hear any of the Bourbon Street festivities in our room at any time. We enjoyed Bourbon Street very much during both the night time and daytime, and we could easily walk back to our room with purchases, drinks, etc. at any time. The hotel was clean, and the staff was great. The hotel is older, but the French Quarter itself is older. The king size bed was very comfortable. We normally travel several times each year, and have stayed in many hotels in the U.S.A, Europe, etc. If you want a lot of luxury, then pay more and stay somewhere else. However; this hotel really worked out well for us to see and do a lot in a few days in New Orleans. Next time we visit New Orleans, we plan to stay at this hotel again.

This is a great hotel right in the French Quarter. It is close to bourbon street, but you cannot hear any noise in your room. Rooms were very nice and the staff was very pleasant. I highly recommend it

The Latest Review
Generally, the hotel staff were great. The hotel serves breakfast only. One morning, I did try the breakfast. The food is good. However, the staff that handles breakfast were not very fast or friendly. They appeared to not really want to be there. I will probably not eat breakfast there again. However, I would definitely stay at the hotel.

Freindly staff and best bellman in nola.
We stayed on a Saturday and the bellman( older man) was very friendly and also books tours. The rooms are dated and need to be update badly. Our bathroom was tiny and the faucets were rusty and in bad condition. The location of the hotel is very convenient and close to everything.

Don't Waste Your Money
The lobby is pretty, pool area is small but comfortable, and the beds were somewhat comfortable. However, the staff is extremely rude, pillowcases were left other people's hair on them, and hotel refuses to reimburse me for a night that was prepaid but canceled 2 days prior. Repeatedly asked for a manager, told he isn't in. There are plenty of other hotels in the area. I suggest looking.

AVERAGE
Nothing bad about it, but kept looking for something special. Had requested accomodations with a "touch of history" and a balcony in French Qtr. Other than a quaint courtyard with pool, it felt like an average Holiday Inn. Balcony was shared and overlooked noisy street construction. In fairness, there is alot of construction in area, hopefully to be completed soon. Room was small. Love NOLA and will be back, but will try another hotel.

Entertainment tip:
Long walk from hotel
Be sure to check out Frenchman St. A little bit of a walk but great little jazz clubs, restaurants, shops & "local flavor" away from the Bourbon St. "party". Halloween in NOLA is sooooo fun

Needs a little updating
Rooms need a little updating. Found a less than friendly bug in the bathroom. And why are the bed pillows square shaped.
