The Holiday Inn French Quarter's 1800s Creole-styled colonnades combine a boutique ambience with the reliability of the Holiday Inn brand and an IHG Green Engage conservation label for sustainable, yet comfy, hospitality. Visitors are far enough from the raucous nightlife to sleep well, but still close enough to join the never-ending party on Bourbon Street, while on-site Cafe Bienville serves traditional Southern staples like chicken and waffles. Enjoy cocktails in the dark wood interiors of the Bienville Lounge, or step out onto the poolside terrace by the cafe, framed by native greenery and take a plunge into the heated waters.

Neighborhood
Located right on Rue Dauphine a block away from the excitement of Bourbon Street, guests at the Holiday Inn Chateau LeMoyne are never far from conferences at the Morial Convention Center, Saints games at the Superdome, or piquant Cajun seafood at Oceana Grill. Staying at the Holiday Inn French Quarter Hotel puts guests a short walk from Canal Place and its elegant shops, or Royal Street for antiquing. A few minutes away, visitors can hop on the historic St. Charles Avenue streetcar line and visit the Audubon Zoo, or tour the Garden District under a canopy of centuries-old oak trees.
Hints and tips
Spring and fall are New Orleans' busiest seasons, but if you book early and ask specifically, you can get a second-floor balcony room at the Chateau LeMoyne. During Mardi Gras, these rooms command a premium and often book almost a year in advance, so plan ahead.
Book the chic Bienville Parlor Suite and relax on the traditional wrought-iron balcony with a Bloody Bull - the New Orleans - answer to the Bloody Mary - or a pitcher of iced tea.

Great Hotel

Cant fault it, we arrived very late at night, but no problems with checking in, the night staff were great. Room was big and clean, furnishings were a little worn, the beds were comfortable which was good as we had been travelling and just wanted to sleep. We had a balcony room and it was great for morning tea or just watching the world go by The bathroom was very clean and the bath/shower easily accessible, no problems with stepping in or out. The staff were fabulous, very helpful, friendly, knowledgeable and the concierge gave us plenty of recommendations for where to eat or where we could visit. The pool area was also excellent, smallish pool but great for that quick dip or just to cool off. Restuarant was only open for breakfast, but that didnt bother us, we ate there a few times and the food was very good with prompt service We were sorry to leave this hotel as they made is feel so welcome, we'd certainly return here again

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

So many places to eat, too many to mention but would recommend Nosh for breakfast, a short walk from the hotel towards Canal St, its pretty ordinary to look at, but the food is cooked to order and tastes great, service is pretty good too. Another place not to miss is the Ruby Slipper on Canal St, the shrimp and grits is wonderful

Great Location and that's about it

So, so for the price. Check in issues, communication between staff members lacking or non-existant. Signed for one amount, then billed for that amount plus 450. Was told it was a computer error. Only one bell person at check-in, waited 25 minutes to get stored bags. Staff memebers, except front desk, on cell phones all the time. Rooms are okay, nothing special.

Great location for Burboun St.

Great location, near everything, but not to close to the party on bourbon street. Pool was clean, hotel was clean. Everything worked as expected. Good place for a decent price.

Great Location

Perfect central location for a New Orleans experience. Easy to walk to most tourist destinations, while quiet enough for those who don't want to be directly on Bourbon Street.

Nice visit

We are here for only one night. The staff is nice. Valet parking is good. Very close to everything. If you want to visit bars in French Quarter, it is only 1 minute waking, seriously.

A really nice break

Friendly and welcoming. A fantastic location close to major night life. Disappointed that no on site dining but plenty of restaurants in walking distance. Bar opening hours restricted but once again plenty of bars in walking distance.

Close enough to everything

This hotel is unique. It's what I think about as a classic N.O. location. From check-in to check-out the staff was bright, attentive and interested in helping me have a nice stay. Close enough to everything but out of direct line of fire.

Money-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

Public transportation is close and really pretty good. The Bus saves you $10 every time you use it. Money better spent in one of the hundred great restaurants.

French Quarter is the highlight of this hotel

after visiting the Monteleone Hotel which a friend was able to book for under two hundred dollars a night for a 3 night stay and then checking into our hotel (LeMoyne) which we paid around $250. or more per night we called it the "low rent hotel". The 5th floor had gnome-like ceiling height--not sure about other rooms. Room was tiny and clausterphobic. Beds are ready to be recycled. One uncomfortable chair in the room. Tip: take the closet space and do some space planning. Put some large mirrors to open up space. Not enough room to turn around in the entrance where the bath opens. The window to the courtyard is charming. also: Holiday Inn always has breakfast. Don't be so stingy! throw a beignet or some danish at your loyal HolidayInn guests. bummer in general!!

K Pauls was awesome. Pricey but worth it! HerbSaint on St. Charles was about 10 blocks --cross Canal St.--this was the best place and a real sleeper from the road. A gourmet delight--chef was amazing- server was ok but confused. The food was memorable.

Clean and Close

The Chateau Lemoyne is in a decent section of the French Quarter just one block off of Bourbon, but not too close for comfort. (You do NOT want to stay ON Bourbon Street unless it's at one end or the other!) They have a pool in a pretty courtyard, a restaurant that serves only breakfast (which was okay, but I would suggest going elsewhere for that meal), and a bar, but that's about it as far as amenities go. While there is a mini coffee maker, hair dryer, small safe, and an iron and ironing board in each room, I would have LOVED having a mini fridge as well. Many of the places we ate at during our six night stay piled on the portions and we had leftovers that we couldn't store. The room itself was quite large with a comfortable king sized bed, but the curtains, carpet, and chairs were all a bit worn looking. The hotel hallways and elevator also need some TLC...everything had that tired look to it. Mind you, nothing was dirty and I wouldn't exactly call anything shabby, but definitely worn. The few workers we interacted with were all pleasant and efficient enough...nothing exactly remarkable, but in no way rude or bad, either. For the location, the price couldn't be beat. Is it the swankiest hotel? By no means. But it was a nice place all in all.

Use Yelp to look for dining alternatives. I found many little places with great food and decent prices that weren't right on the main drag.

Redfish Grill had a great menu that reflects the area but is creative too. We had some water spill and they gave us a lagnaip (sp?) of a free apetizer.
