Great location. Really needs some updates.
When you walk into the lobby of this hotel, you get the impression that you're in a decent hotel, but the rooms are nothing like the lobby. They look like they haven't been updated in at least ten years. The carpet was gross and covered with stains, so I kept socks and shoes on at all times. The bed was comfortable enough, and the towels and sheets were clean. Nothing was amiss, but I wouldn't stay here again because it wasn't worth the price.

Was best price for last minutes reservation.
Hotel staff was very friendly. Hotel is okay. Just a room to sleep, with not too much more. This was the best priced room I could find last minute. Room smelled a little smoky for a non-smoking room.

Leisure trip to New Orleans
I was looking for a clean, quiet, reasonably priced hotel near the French Quarter and this place fit the bill. It is two short blocks to Canal St. so the Quarter is easily accessible. The room was clean and quiet and had free wireless internet access. I had breakfast at the hotel on two mornings and it was quite good (omelet made to order, juice, coffee). The rooftop pool is small but the views are excellent. There is a small gym as well. My window did not face the outside so there was no view from the room, but I spent little time there anyway. If you are looking for a good value at the edge of the Quarter without the craziness and noise, this works.

Take the St. Charles Ave. streetcar and go to the Garden District and Magazine St. to see something different from the French Quarter.

Great place to stay when touring around
This is a great hotel to stay at when visiting New Orleans as a tourist. You're at the edge of the French Quarter (and leading into Bourbon if you want). The hotel is close enough to have a comfortable walk around the entire quarter and even walkable to Frenchman. There trolley near the hotel takes you down to the Garden District and it's right near the Warehouse District for fun shopping and even more food. The hotel itself if a great place with a helpful staff and comfy rooms. One thing, the pool is a bit smaller than advertised. You've been warned. I would definitely stay here again.

Mardis Gras Stay
The Hotel was nice, but the view was terrible. The room was a nice size, but the cleaning crew did not clean the tub during my entire 2 day stay. I would have expected more for that price. But overall it was convenient to everything that I need to access. I did fell very secure with no one able to access the floor that I slept on without a card.
