Embassy Suites New Orleans - Convention Center

The location of this hotel is convenient enough but the quality of the facilities and amenities was not up to our expectations. The breakfast at most Embassy Suites is quite good but this one was very average. The valet parking storage was not onsite and took several minutes to deliver the car. We booked the room last minute and paid significantly more that it was worth.

Getting to the hotel from MSY airport was convenient with both affordable cab and shuttle service available. The hotel is centrally located near the CBD and French Quarter with easy access to the rest of the city. There are plenty of quality restaurants, bars, and entertainment options within easy walking distance. With an active nightlife, the streets outside the hotel can get a little noisy, especially on weekends. The staff were quite welcoming and the complimentary breakfast buffet and made-to-order omelettes were delicious. Only real demerit was a mushroom that decided to sprout out of the carpet during the final day of our stay.

Thought I had already submitted the review. Oh well! Nice old hotel right in the heart of things. Most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. I was afaid it would be noisy since my room was on the corner of Bourbon and Canal, but it was extremely quiet.

Staff very courteous, friendly and accommodating. The included breakfast was a nice surprise. My only issue was that the room was a little musty when I walked in but seemed to clear up once I turned on the fan from the ventilation system. The room was actually very clean though and the bed more comfortable than it looked.

I've always enjoyed my stays at the Embassy Suites; it's nothing fancy but the reasonable rates combined with the free breakfast and manager's reception (happy hour) always seem to be a good value. The hotel is clean, the staff was pleasant, and rooms were comfortable. The location is not that close to the French Quarter (which I knew, but the late night walks back to the room over abandoned streets were a little scarier than suspected). The breakfast was good; the happy hour was nice, though long lines make it a bit less enjoyable. The pool is tiny. The elevators are fast and reliable. Again, the Embassy Suites is a clean, acceptable answer to the need for a hotel room. I wish it was a little closer to the Quarter or that the Streetcar ran more frequently at night. Anyone who "celebrated" a little hard in the Quarter would have a tough time walking back to the hotel. It is close to the convention center, which i suspect is its target audience.

This staff and facility are top notch. This is my 3rd stay at this hotel and I was not disappointed!

I really enjoyed my stay at Embassy Suites. The rooms are really big with a separate area with a couch and second TV. There are also microwaves and mini fridges which are very convenient. The hotel, is also only about a 15-20 minute walk from the french market area (or a really quick cab ride) and there are lots of littel bars and restaraunts right by the hotel. Overall it was a great deal!

This hotel is very conveniently located near the convention center. It is also close enough to the French quarter to walk. There are many restaurants nearby. The staff was professional to the utmost level. I did not encounter anyone who was even the slightest bit off their game. Working in the casino industry I understand how challenging it can be to get everyone on the same page, the Embassy Suites has done it! Room was great, complimentary breakfast was great, location was great, staff was great! Great! Great! Great!
