Housekeeping was subpar every single day. Garbage cans weren't emptied until we made an issue of it. They made the beds and replaced the supplies, but little actual cleaning. Rooms are kind of small, but well-appointed. Having stayed in many expensive, run-down rooms in New Orleans, this was better than average for the town, but about average by normal standards.

Boyfriend and I came to New Orleans the week of April 6th-April 8th and I must say we were satisfied with our stay at this Doubletree. It was in walking distance of all the major attractions without too much of the hustle and bustle of Bourbon St. It was nice to go party on Bourbon and come back to a more quiet hotel area. Also the Harrah's Casino is across the street which was nice. The staff were very nice and on one occasion, they passed out beads, lemonade and pralines to all their guests. The room was clean and a good size for two people. (Mind you it's New Orleans, not much time was spent in the room.) You will not be disappointed staying here.

One night stay!
I booked this hotel through a 3rd party and the staff wanted everyone to know it. The staff was more interested in picking up the male guest instead of helping all the guest. The room was very small, two people could not fit into the bathroom at the same time. The breakfast staff was no better, nor was the breakfast!

itemized bill
Nice enough hotel, but they would not give me an itemized bill, supposedly since I booked through this site. Unfortunately, that does not work for business reimbursement. I'll have to stay elsewhere in the future.

The cookies are wonderful!
I stayed at the Doubletree because I was attending a Conference. The location was a perfect distance between the Conference Hall and Bourbon Street. We were greeted by warm and friendly faces and warm chocolate chip cookies! I booked a riverview room at an extra charge, and at first was given a lower floor room with a view of the roof top air compressors. But the staff at the front desk were able relocate me to a room that had a partial river view. My king size bed with down comforters( which they book as "heavenly bedding") was delightful for a perfect night sleep at the end of a busy day. The bell man Seth was the perfect tour guide, finding us the best restaruants at a moderate price. I would probably stay here again on my next visit which I hope will be soon.

Airport Layover
Had one day in town to catch air flight. Double Tree was well located to take advantage of walking tour to most points of interest. Also easy access to trolley. Staff was helpfull and friendly.
