Great stay!
I was in New Orleans for business and my company booked us in another hotel (big brand hotel). I decided to stay a couple of days later to see the city and I was very happy with the Country Inn. The breakfast spread was very nice with eggs and bacon and sausage, coffee etc. the rooms were spacious however, mine had a smokey smell. The entrance of the building is very nice, and I liked the little pool. The location was nice, just three blooks from bourbon street and there are plenty of restaurants to go eat and bars to go drink! ;)

Good location, easy to find everything. Staff was excellent. Our room was a bit noisy but I think it was just the location of our room (just off the elevator).

Perfect Location and Old World Charm
The Country Inn and Suites hotel is located on the very edge of the French Quarter that allows for easy walking access to all sights but without the congestion of the French Quarter itself. We had our car valet parked and didn't see it for three days since it was not needed. All our time was spend walking the French Quarter and the river front. The hotel is in an old building which, I was told, was originally an cotton mill and warehouse. The brick walls and old beams are exposed giving it a wonderful, old world charm of days gone by. The full, hot breakfast was excellent and included all the breakfast meats, cereals, eggs and many other breakfast items. Also, the price was very reasonable for the location. I would highly recommend the Country Inn and Suites as an excellent hotel to stay when in New Orleans.

Be certain to dine at the MULATE restaurant for authentic Cajun food and live music. Live Cajun music begins at 7:00 PM. The red beans and rice is the best ever.

A quick walk to everything!
Great ambience in the hotel. Nice breakfast buffet. So close to the streetcars, river and French Quarter. Old world feel to the room with modern amenities.

At home in Nawlins
This is my second stay at Comfort Inn & Suites on Magazine Street. The location cannot be beat -- just outside the French Quarter, so it is quiet, but only 3 blocks away, so easy walking distance. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The room contained both a mini-fridge and microwave. Water pressure is great. The complimentary breakfast is extensive, but the breakfast area gets crowded & seating may be difficult. Parking is expensive [$25/day + 12% tax], but that is true everywhere in New Orleans. While the rooms are very clean, they are often not made up until late in the afternoon [4 p.m. or later]. The concierge was not very knowledgeable. The couple standing in line just ahead of us asked about walking tours of the cemetaries, and she tried to talk them into a bus tour of the city. We asked about a restaurant in the Esplanade area, and her response was "no one has ever asked me about that before." When we checked in, the desk clerk told us he needed a credit card number, for a "deposit" of $35 per day. Since we had paid for our 4 night stay in advance, we didn't understand this and he never made it clear. So, overall: we were very pleased with the location, the value of the rooms for the price [New Orleans can be expensive]; we did feel the staff should have been a little more knowledgeable.

"Scandalous Cocktails" is the best walking tour we found. It leaves daily at 5 p.m. from Pat O'Briens.

Great hotel!
I didn't realize this was a chain, but the building still had NOLA ambience. The location was just what I wanted; not right in the middle of the Quarter but near enough to walk. Our room was great; it was a suite so there was plenty of room for me and my 3 kids. Was able to get tourist info easily from staff. The only thing that could be improved was breakfast situation; there was never enough seating & not a great assortment of items.

Vacation
Loved this hotel! Clean, very friendly and helpful staff, great location (walking distance from most of the things we wanted to see). They advertised free breakfast, but I didn't expect the variety they had. It was great, plenty of food and very good.

Not Applicable
Get the $3 street car/bus pass. You can use the daily pass on either. Buy by the day, not the 2 or 3 day passes. Its cheaper.

Great experience!
Pretty close to French Quarter, but with enough distance from the noise for us to get a good night's sleep. Breakfast can get a lot busy, but the staff is quick enough not to let anyone without their bagels, fresh fruit and orange juice.
