Located in the Heart of the French Quarter, the Bourbon Orleans features classic Southern Charm with styling reminiscent of the French Opulence of the early 1800's. With its central location - directly behind the famed St. Louis Cathedral, the hotel offers direct access to the upscale shopping on Royal Street, the fortune tellers and street performers of Jackson Square, cafe au lait and beignets at Cafe du Monde, and of course the decadence of Bourbon Street. As a Historic Hotel, each unique guestroom has its own charm and grace. However, all of the rooms feature modern amenities including in room safes and complementary local calls and bottled water.
Parking charge is $36 plus taxes per night with a $3 plus tax surcharge on large vehicles. Oversized vehicles are assessed an additional $3 per day plus 12% sales tax on top of the prevailing valet parking daily rate. Parking rates are subject to change without notice and special valet parking rates apply during special events. We advise calling the front desk thirty minutes in advance to allow ample time for our valet to retrieve the guest's vehicle.

Great stay

All of the hotel staff were very nice. Front desk was very helpful and accommodating our special needs. Room was very nice although it was small, which is normal for New Orleans. Room was very quiet despite being sold out.

Wonderfull experience

everything I expected form a hotel of this quality except for the parking ( I do understand the difficulties tho seeing as the Quarter was not built with the automobile in mind). The breakfast in the hotel was a great suprise. It actually was a better value to have breakfast there than go outside the hotel a find a place.

Bourbon St. Wonder

Great experience; don't know what else I can say. Located right in the midst of Bourbon St. More of an adult environment.

Something special...something splendid!

We were only going to be in New Orleans for a couple days (and one night), so I had spent hours...days even!..shopping around for a great bargain on a comfortable hotel that would help make our short stay the most pleasant experience as possible, WITHOUT having to spend a ridiculous amount of money. Without question, the Bourbon-Orleans was the ticket!! From the moment we pulled up in front of the hotel, we were treated like "special guests". Every step of the way from the lobby to our room, we were treated like royalty and felt like we were dropped into the lap of luxury. Our room was even ready 2 hours early, so were able to leave our bags and go straight to sight-seeing WITHOUT having to lug our travel bags around all over the town until the standard check-in time. ALL the staff members we encountered were friendly and professional, but still with a down-to-earth local feel. The location was just perfect, our room was small but very comfortable and made to feel like it was prepped especially for us (...and the complimentary cocktails were a lovely bonus!) Just an overall SPLENDID EXPERIENCE indeed! Posh, yet affordable...elegant, yet not pretentious. There is no doubt about where we'll be staying the next time we come to New Orleans, and the fact that each room has its own unique design makes it an even more appealing and adventurous experience to look forward to.

Shopping tip: Short walk from hotel

There was only one thing that I wanted to shop for and bring home from New Orleans, and that was a unique new pack of Tarot cards. I was told that I should have no problem finding that in The French Quarter, however, I went into countless souvenir shops in the area and, surprisingly, I didn't find any. It wasn't until I met a couple of locals who told me where to go to find them, and that was Marie Laveau's House of Voodoo...just a stone's throw away from the Bourbon-Orleans hotel. So there are a LOT of "tourist-ee" trinket shops in The French Quarter, but if you're looking for something unique and "special" try Marie Laveau's first...and DEFINITELY don't miss an opportunity to stay at the Bourbon-Orleans!

A gem in the rough

The Bourbon Orleans is a fantastic value right in the heart of the French Quarter. Usually when someone says "value" many people think "cheap, low-quality" but in this case you get a lot of hotel for your money. The rooms are spacious, modern, and clean. The staff are friendly and very helpful, and the price is very reasonable. I arrived late-morning hoping to check in but there were no rooms ready. The desk agent, seeing that I was about to fall asleep on their lobby couch, had housekeeping quickly prepare a room. I was in by noon. Plus the hotel is located in the heart of the French Quarter so any time of day the center of activity is a few blocks from your room. Highly recommend this place.

Location, location, location!

Location is key. You are at walking distance from the nightlife, stores, museums, art galleries, music venues, restaurants... but the night life doesn't invade your hotel room. The hotel is very quiet and peaceful. Would've given 5 starts if my room had a balcony, and had a problem with hot water, quickly resolved by the staff though. Definitely would recommend.

Great hotel

The location was very close to Burbon Street. Staff was polite and friendly. We had a fabulous time, just don't rent a car because there is no parking available.

Jazz Fest

Beautiful hotel in the middle of the quarter. Nicely appointed rooms and bathrooms. Very helpful staff, although room cleaning starts at a very early 8:30 a.m., so don't forget the DND sign. One of the 2 elevators was broken for most of the stay creating some real problems. We had a couple of issues with hot water and were not given much of an answer.

Money-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

There's a grocery store called Rouses a block away that sells normal priced souvenirs, beer, wine, and food. It's a real $$ saver in the middle of the French Quarter.
