Baymont Inn and Suites New Orleans

For my first time in New Orleans, the hotel was just ok. The toilet ran, the cold water knob on the sink was stripped, and the shower had no hot water. Called down to the desk and they had the shower and toilet fixed the next day. Everything was just average.. It was clean though and the staff were nice. Probably the only good thing.. Not a very good neighborhood. Almost all the stores and restaurants around it were closed or run down.. They had an IHOP and a run down panda house buffet for eating.. Literally nothing else for miles.. Not even a McDonald's.. And too far away from down town NOLA to make a cab ride worthwhile.. If you can drive the 12 miles into town and just need a place to lay your head.. its your just barely average roadside motel..

This was a nice clean hotel, great value for the price paid. Best free breakfast I've had on site at this type of hotel. Planning to stay there again on our way home!

After leaving another hotel ( booked for days needed) it was quite a disappointment its like night and day. the room was probably worth 50 bucks The Breakfast they serve was about the only thing going for it, problem is that we had to leave earlier than breakfast started. The latch on the door looked like it had been broken into the carpet smelled like urine, the tubs did not look clean, had to ask each day for clean towels and then we only got the little ones. There was mold around airconditioner. the internet service was extremely slow and they had the old TVs. They advertised movies on the TV that you could not get. many of the guests complained of stopped up sinks and tubs. Not good, should do your homework before you check in a hotel like that.

First impression was great: not a motel, but a hotel with elevator and carpet. But a lot of details like messed carpet, broken ice machine, missing remote control for TV, elevator ooo for about 12 hours show, that the hotel is going downhill and needs better management. We stayed there for 3 nights. After the first night the towels were missing. This may happen from time to time. You go to the reception and get fresh towels. Not here and the staff was simply not up to the task of cracking it. After 4 hours we could convince the lady to take towels from free rooms. The windows are badly isolated and so there is some noise from the highway nearby. Two positive aspects: the free Wi-Fi worked well and the breakfast was really good. So bring your own towels and its ok. :-)

it was a good hotel for the time and money spend. Going through the neighborhood was kind of scary at night, but it was good. Breakfast was not good at all only one waffle maker for so many ppl. Front desk ladies not so freindly but ok for what you need them.

The value was spot on for the price. The breakfast had a good mix of hot and cold items, and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The only down-fall is that it's about a 15 minute drive from the French Quarter.

We were looking for a cheap hotel close to downtown New Orleans. This place is about a 15 minute drive from the French Quarter. The room was a great size and value for what we were looking for. I would stay here again. The room was clean and they have breakfast which is always good when you are on vacation.

We arrived after 7PM. Took off to see the city. The place is nothing out of the ordinary. We were short in bath towels. We have to wait around 40 minutes to get a replacement. Bad news, no more spares. Next day, we left the place by 9AM, returning by 9PM. This time, no towels at all. Have to wait for over 50 minutes to get towels, plus two trips to the front desk to get them. So, be aware, carry your own, just in case...

If you don't mind the drive to and from the quarter it's well worth it!!
