Great location, prefer this area rather than staying in the French Quarter. Across the street from a street car pick-up. Beautiul walking area, close to many restaurants, pharmacy, convenience grocery store, The room was great with a mini kitchen. Staff were most helpful and polite. Beautiful courtyard and pool area.

Good hotel within the 2 miles from the City center
I recommend to stay at this hotel. Round the clock train service available just in-front of the hotel to go to City center. Staffs are really nice and helpful. Excellent view from Hotel room to the Downtown. But felt it was quite expensive based on the location.

friendly staff & great location
Our one bedroom suite was on the top floor with a great view. Service was excellent. The staff was friendly and responded immediately when we requested a missing item for our kitchen. The location was great too, we could see the St Patrick's Day parade from our window! This was a fun experience.

Great Super Bowl Stay
Didn't really know what to expect because when booking I was desperate just to find a decent place in New Orleans. Expensive? Yes! But was very satisified with the outcome. Surprised? Yes! The place was a resort! Therefore, we didn't feel rooked after all. Had a beautiful view of N.O. skyline. could even take photos of Super Dome, buildings etc and even the blimp that was circling overhead. Streetcar stop right outside. Staff very friendly and helpful. Just a great place to stay. Will go back when there is not so much going on.

Wonderful
We stayed at the Avenue Plaza Resort during our girls weekend in NOLA. The room was clean, the linens great and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. They gave us directions, got us a cab for our ride back to the airport and tips where "locals" like to go. The hotel was right on the bus/trolley line so transportation to and from the Quarter was a breeze. Highly recommend anyone going to NOLA to stay there.

Great Situation
This was a great find. We visit New Orleans once or twice a year and stay a various places. If you want to avoid the French Quarter this is a good location for getting around. The rooms all recently redone. Nice bathrooms/showers though small. Refrigerator and microwave all new and clean. Strongly recommend just remember this is not a hotel so no daily maid service but replacement towels available at front desk. Courtyard very nice for relaxing.

At first we thought we were in a bad location for everything we wanted to see BUT then we figured out that the $3 a day trolly took us everwhere we want to be or see within 20 minutes . Uptown, garden district , river walk, French Qtrs it was easy to get to. The staff were the most engaging and helpful I have ever experienced. The Hotel was clean and well kept,Plenty of places to eat within 5 minutes walking distance

Home away from home!
The Avenue Plaza Resort is in the beautiful garden district with the trolley right outside the door and can take you up and down St. Charles Avenue or to Canal Street to visit the French Quarter. We never had to use our own car to get where we were going, the trolley runs day and night. We were a little disappointed in the price of valet parking and did our own room cleanup to avoid extra charges for maid service. The room was very comfortable with a nice kitchenette with a full-sized refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwasher and dishes and cooking utensils. The courtyard and pool area is enclosed with the property and safe for children and families without worries of outsiders drifting in. We would gladly stay here again if we get a chance to return to New Orleans and highly recommend the resort to everyone!!

The Palace Cafe on Canal Street is the best restaurant we have ever been to, the food is incredible and the service can't be beat! You can take the trolley to Canal Street and then just walk a couple of blocks to the restaurant. You won't be disappointed in the food, service or atmosphere at the Palace Cafe, owned by the Brennan family!!
