Historic hotel located next to Union Station near downtown Indianapolis
With a rich history and modern amenities, the Omni Severin Hotel remains a top choice for luxury accommodation in Indianapolis. The hotel -- then called the Grand Hotel of Indianapolis -- opened in 1913 to serve train passengers entering town at Union Station. Today, some of the hotel's original features -- such as the ballroom's crystal chandelier and marble staircase -- are still in use. The hotel also connects to Circle Centre and the Indiana Convention Center by covered skywalk, making much of downtown easily accessible.

Pretty to look at...
I book a hotel for 1 reason- to get a good nights sleep. While the Omni Severin is a beautiful hotel with a few "pluses" like turn down service and a Starbucks in the lobby...the place was NOISY. If I wasnt kept awake by other guests i was kept awake by all kinds of noise from outside, coming through the old, paper-thin, poorly insulated windows. Awful. I just spent over $4000 on rooms for our staff this week, and will be booking elsewhere for next years convention.

Comfort for less in Indianapolis
Loved this place, everything that a large city Omni has to offer in a hotel but for so much less. We were there on business , our first time in Indianapolis but what a nice , clean , friendly, reasonable, little city. I found a great spa on the 6th floor of the Grand Hotel and couldn't believe the bill when I checked out , half of what I expected. NFL Combine interviews were going on in the hotel. Very interesting stay.

Great Stay!
Hotel is great - clean, comfortable and is located in the center of everything. Spent the weekend with my daughter shopping and dining. Even went to Howl at the Moon piano bar and had a blast! Hotel is easy walking distance to a variety of restaurants and adjacent to the City Center shopping mall. Couldn't have wished for a better experience.

Disappointing
Room has no drawers to put away clothes. Requested room next to family member and was placed on opposite end of floor. Requested rollaway bed which never came. Pool to cold to use. Took forever to get car with valet parking. Very disappointing accomodations and service for a four star hotel.

Downtown Indianapolis is comfortable at the Omni Severin
I got in to the hotel at around 3am, when I had expected to be there much earlier. Despite being listed as a "no-show," the staff had me a new room reserved in minutes. All the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

One Night Getaway
Stayed one night for a graduation celebration. Room was comfortable, minibar was well stocked, and it's right across the street from my favorite downtown bar Ike and Jonsey's.

Great location!
The hotel and lobby are very nice and convenient to allthe downtown action. A king sized bed was reserved but when arrived, the prepaid reservation was only good for two doubles. Not what was intended from a weekend away with my wife. eventually we were given an accessible king room. Otherwise, the hotel was a good experience.
