Problems
This Hotel was built in 1928 and shows it. The only desk clerk on duty could not find my reservation and so after some delay waiting to confirm my reservation even though I showed her a printed copy of the reservation, I was finally allowed to put the room on my credit card. There was only one slow elevator working in the building. The halls were dated and unattractive. When I finally got my room it was large and clean with refrigerator and good TV. However the elevated train runs right by the hotel and is quite loud at night. Parking is $36 per night extra.

Good location but....
Was in a great location to walk around and to get access to Congress Parkway for travel to United Center, but room was small and quite outdated. No ice bucket, carpet and furniture needs replaced. There were 3 elevators, but only one running. A couple of times the maintenance offered and took us down in the 3rd elevator which is used by them. Also had the sound of the train all night long. It was cheap and a place to sleep, but I will not go back.

Location, Location, Location
Half-way in between of EVERYTHING Chicago. Within walking distance to top attactions, parks, eateries, buses & L-line. Rooms had the minimum amenities, clean bed & towels, TV, sporadic Wi-fi, and coffee pot--all you need when spending a few days sight seeing & shopping. Room temp hard to regulate with dilapidated air unit, but we made due. For the price, I would definitely stay again and recommend to friends.

Not too bad
My experience was ok. The hotel smelled bad when I walked in the front door. Good thing for them I'm not a picky person. The bed was comfortable and in general, I thought it was worth the price for my short business stay. The staff was courteous. There was no free breakfast in the morning, but I was close to places of dining or places where I could buy food at. There is a small cafe where I have bought breakfast or lunch at, but I didn't. The neighborhood was pretty safe. Hard to say anything about quietness because the subway was across the street ergo I heard the trains go by. They didn't really bother me. In general, I had a good time and it was worth it.

Hotel Information
The front desk staff was wonderful & very helpful. I wish there was a little bit more information about the parking arrrangements for the hotel. There is no parking at the hotel & we had to pay a lot to park on a daily basis. There should be something posted indicating this so when other people book their reservation they will have some kind of knowledge. All the hotels for the Chicago area should have it listed somewhere - parking is very very pricey.

Need to use the bus system & obtain a bus pass to get around town. Taxi is ok if you want to get to your destination quicker but can be a little pricey.

Economic Stay
When you walk in the room, you get exactly what you should expect at a hotel. A comfortable bed, a tv, and a desk with chair. The room was bare bones, but do you really need anything else? No, you should be out enjoying everything that Chicago has to offer. For the price, a wonderful stay, and the location was excellent.

Alright...
I would only recommend this hotel if you just need a place to sleep and you are not going to spend any time here.. It was not the grossest hotel I have been in, however it could have definitely been a lot cleaner. I would also not bring a family here.
