great stay!

We stayed at the Talbott Hotel for 5 nights around new year's week, and it was wonderful! The hotel is centrally located so it was easy to walk to restaurants, nightclubs/bars, etc, or take a quick taxi to wicker park or uptown. Room was large and immaculate, large fluffy towels, robes, and slippers were always available, and they had a great bistro next door with great lattes for that morning start. Great value for the price! We will definitely book again when we return to Chicago

Great value for a great weekend

This hotel is a refreshing change from the larger chain hotels in the area. The service was personal and helpful. The location is fantastic and the lobby cozy and inviting. The double queen room was more than large enough for 2 adults and 2 teenagers to share.

Great value, Great location

For a reasonable price you get an extremely courteous, helpful, genuinely nice staff. We had a flight get cancelled and moved to the next day so returned to the Talbott. They upgraded us to a beautiful one bedroom suite. It is within walking distance to many restaurants/bars along with michigan ave and all the shopping. A short cab ride to the museums. I am in Chicago several times a year and will continue to stay here.

Great winter getaway stay

This was our first trip to the Windy City. The Talbott hotel turned out to be a great choice. The hotel is close to major shopping and restaurants. We were able to walk to all major attractions, but also had the red 'L' line station as option. The hotel is located in a safe and upscale neighborhood so walking late at night was not a problem. Staff was friendly and attentive. Room was extremely comfortable; larger than a standard hotel room.

Cozy!

Prime location. Spacious room, nicely arranged. Top-tier in-room amenities, including desk, computer, large screen TV. Fireside gatherings in the lobby were a real treat. Staff was superb - very helpful, but not clingy.

Pre-Christmas getaway

The Talbott is a lovely hotel and the staff very friendly, professional and helpful. We were visiting our daughter and doing some last minute shopping. We were there for three nights and wanted to extend our trip but had to leave because of prior commitments. The location is great, an easy walk to Michigan Avenue. The Little Market Restaurant and Bar off of the lobby is convenient, get a cocktail and spend time by one of the two fireplaces in the Talbotts lobby to warm up after coming in from the cold.
