Great location

Renovations to the lobby had no impact on our stay. We loved the upgraded room. Close to everywhere... See full review

Staff needs a little polish

I'm a Chicago resident and decided to spend the night downtown with my girlfriend to go out and explore. The staff took one look at the address on my id and made an off hand comment. They seemed a little snooty and informal after that which kind of put a damper on the whole experience, I was expecting a little more professionalism. Too bad. Overall nice hotel with great location, unfortunately wouldn't recommend there are more complete establishments nearby.

Nice weekend stay

I read the reviews before booking this hotel. I liked the location as it was only a block and a half from Michigan Avenue and shopping/transportation. I knew the hotel was still under construction/renovation so I expected to hear some noise but it was minimal and the hotel did notify us that the noise would be between 8:30am - 4:30pm. We were out most of the day so it didn't bother us at all. The room was very clean and we had a corner room so it was nice and roomy. It was a little pricey but I would recommend this hotel if you plan on staying close to entertainment and shopping.

Business or pleasure

We had a wonderful time at this hotel. Great service and friendly people. The new ferris and jacks had a wonderful and perfect sized breakfast. The only downfall was that they are in mid construction, but they really did their best to counteract it. Great location just off of Michigan ave. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Let check in, early morning

The hotel could t get in a better location, close I downtown. The front lobby is small, but modern and clean. The rooms were clean, comfortable and good size. Loves the modern touches. Staff however are not very accommodating. We were suppose to check in at 3 (normal check in time) and we didn't et to check in until 4. The staff argues about the check in time and have us a room to get around in. Literally right after walking in the room they called and asked for us to come get our key to our room. Very annoying. The staff didn't think checking in late was a problem and said they can't guarantee check in times... What??? So I told them I can't guarantee check out time but I get charged for it?

good centrally located hotel

Very pleased with this hotel overall. We stayed 2 nights, and no real issues. Car parking was just across the road and valet service was quick and efficient for a minimal addition to the standard park-it-yourself rate ($48 became $53 per day). The hotel was going through some renovations, especially in the reception area, but they were clearly signposted. Request for additional cutlery was delivered promptly to the room. Internet access was problematic on my tablet, but fine on laptops. The location was perfect, just around the corner from the MagMile, a block from the JHC and trolley tour pickup points, and a short walk to many restaurant options. Very safe location, lots of police presence around.

Sightseeing tip: Short walk from hotel

Take the trolley tour to get around, gives you 3 days hop-on hop-off. Doesn't go to Wrigley Park, but you can get off around the middle of the tour and take the subway.

Great Chicago Location

MileNorth was a great place to stay. I'm from Chicago, so I know the city inside and out. Location-wise, this is one of the best spots you can book. The staff was friendly and they upgraded our room for no additional charge! The room was very nice and the bed was very comfortable. I thought it was a very good value.
