Great location for a family vacation
Everything was great. Could use some scrambled eggs at breakfast. Parking next door is pricey, but par for Chicago. Ditch the car & walk, train, or cab.

Great Location near the loop. We could walk to major shopping areas.
The desk people were friendly. In the morning they helped me route out my destination for the day.

overall great stay
I stayed here with my family (3 adults) for 3 nights/4 days over August 2012. This hotel was perfect for us - great size room (small, but clean and not too compact), perfect location and helpful staff. the price was fair, especially for the location and value of the hotel. We walked everywhere and felt safe in the neighborhood at night. I would definitely stay here again if I am ever in the Chicago area.

Girls Weekend!
My daughter and I had a girls weekend get away and it was great!!! The hotel was in a perfect location for all of the activities we had planned and the staff was very curteous and helpful. Thank you for all of the great help!

chicago trip
the stay was great. the staff all greeted us and were very good. the two ladies that served in the breakfast bar were very nice and personable. the cleaning staff greeted us pleasantly. will stay there on an upcoming trip and will tell friends ana family

quite satisfactory
The room was clean and tasteful, the bed mattresses were comfortable with two pillows per person and nice linens. The continental breakfast has breads and bagels and muffins, no pastries, and fruits and juices and bagals and yogurt and hard boiled eggs. The fitness center has two treadmills but one of them didn't work, that's about my only complaint.

La Quinta, downtown Chicago
Great location just a few blocks from the train station and from theaters. Staff very nice and educated, always willing to help. Spacious rooms.

What a great place!!!
Our previous reservation for a different hotel got screwed up by THEIR staff on the day we were to drive from Ohio to Chicago. Lucky for us!!! The LaQuinta was located 1 block north of the Sears tower. From our room you could look right out the window at it! All the downtown sights were walking distance from the hotel. Other "same area" places wanted a HUGE price to stay there. We got great service and again great location for a fraction of the price. I would, and have already, recommend this place to firends and anyone heading to Chicago. The only negative was no onsite parking. Had to use adjacent garage, but the cost of parking is included inthe rate if you drive in, so it's not a cost that hits you at check out.

All major sites (sears tower, Hancock tower, Water tower shops, Navy Pier, Observatory, Aquarium, even Soldier field were AT most a 25-30 minute walk. Even in July weather it wasn't that bad, with the constant breeze.
