I had a very good time staying at the hotel. It's location is perfect in relation to downtown. The roof top is beautiful!!

It was...okay.
Overall, the hotel is nice but it lacks any sort of remarkable qualities that provide for an abiding impression. The lobby was quite unique, and the attached coffee shop was perfect. The hotel hallways and rooms, however, left much to be desired. As with many things Chicago, it just didn't quite hit the mark. I will say, though, that the customer service experience was superb and they went out of their way to make me feel welcomed. I live in Chicago and wanted to have a short "stay-cation" (I hate that made-up word!), but I'm not sure I got my money's worth (I especially wouldn't have if the room hadn't been discounted 30% through a travel website!). Check it out...but don't expect to be dazzled.

Dining tip:
Short walk from hotel
I lived in Old Town for three years and most of the dining experiences are lackluster and overpriced (not to mention the wretched aged frat boy clientele). Skip the reservations, grab a gigantic slice of pizza at Bacci (on North Ave between Wells and La Salle) and head back to the hotel room. In the morning, grab a great breakfast sandwich and pastry from Twisted Sister Bakery and enjoy alongside the fountain next to the Chicago History Museum.

great hotel
This hotel is lovely. Location, food, staff, and decor is great. The beds aren't the most comfortable that I've experienced but its given all the other stuff it does so well I plan to stay here on all my visits to Chicago.

Very Accommodating
I am an observant Jew, and this means that I have certain restrictions on our Sabbath. Not only was the hotel nice, but the staff was very accommodating to all of my needs. The location was perfect, as well. I would recccommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in Chicago!

Liked the room, small bathrooom, nice neighborhood, one inaccurate piece of info from the desk regarding a restaurant, that wasted two, hours of our time.

Junior Suite great for families
Families: get the junior suite! Kids' room was lovely, equipped with books, toys, coloring supplies, bunk beds, step stool in their colorful bathroom. And our room was great, too.

Loved the location near Lincoln Park and Old Town. The view of the park and bedding was very comfortable. We enjoyed the roof bar for drinks and would go back sometime.

Great Lincoln Park hotel
Very nice rooms, although they are small, and the hotel's restaurant and rooftop bar are each pretty special! If you want the Lincoln Park/Old Town Chicago experience, this is the hotel to stay in!

Visiting daughter in Old Town
From the minute we walked in to the hotel we absolutely loved it! From the front desk staff, to the maid service, to the fabulous coffee shop in the lobby-we loved it all! Enjoyed the wall of ugly pictures on the staircase-somehow i think i painted a couple of them doing paint by numbers! The toiletries in the room were fabulous, my husband even asked the maid for extras. Now, lets talk about the bed. Can honestly say had 2 fabulous nights of sleep! Best bed I have slept in in a hotel EVER. Now, lastly, went to the rooftop bar which was a blast. Can't wait to go back in the summer to sit outside on the deck!
