Perfect for Families
We finalized our son's adoption with Thailand at the Thai Consulate and wanted to make a vacation out of it. The hotel was perfect for us. The rate was affordable and the location could not be better. Nordstrom's and the mall is right across the street. You are a block away from Michigan Ave. The staff is genuinely friendly. The valet guys are excellent. The complimentary dinner during the week is plenty. We loved the breakfast and when the dining room was full they opened a conference room for us to eat. All of the staff was so accommodating. The pool on the 19th floor was super nice with a gorgeous view of the city. We stayed four nights and wished we could have stayed longer. The rooms were a little smaller than normal but everything downtown seems to be that way. Our kitchen even came with a disposal and dishwasher. We would definitely stay there again.

Great location - great people
Pleasantly surprised by the great location, as well as the rooms. For an older property, it is updated and a great find. Staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. Will stay here in the future.

Wonderful long weekend
Hotel is one block from the red El train line. Great location and the concierges were very helpful in getting us off in the morning to our daily destination. One actually wrote down the directions on our map. I don't remeber his name, but he was great. Note workout center next door opens later on weekends and Holidays, but the hotel center is just fine for cardio with free weights. Breakfast was a hot meal and had chessy scrambled eggs every morning plus a wide variety of breakfast foods. The rooms were large and had an kitchen area with a table. Great for families.

Great Hotel. I have made reservations
Great Hotel. I have made reservations on it for my next trip to Chicago. The only two things that would have made the experience perfect were: The dining area is a bit small; ppl had to wait for tables. And, parking is too expensive.

Great place...very kid friendly!
We wanted a quick get away to Chicago and this hotel was perfect! The staff was so nice about our bunch (four kids under 8) and very helpful. The rooms were very large and clean. Breakfast was delicious and we were surprised by the weekday dinner the hotel offered as well (also included!). The pool was a little cold, but the kids didn't mind. The location was great...close to everything downtown!

We'll be back
Our family of 5 had a perfect stay here over Memorial day weekend. We had 2 suites, with adjoining living areas which gave us plenty of room. The breakfast buffet was busy but was kept well stocked with varying foods, including eggs, bacon, etc. The seating area filled up 1 morning we were there but the wait wasn't long and there's take out containers. Hot coffee, tea, cocoa in the lobby at all times too. The pool was nice (no hot tub) and adjacent to the gym on the top floor. The hotel was close to Michigan Ave, restaurants, shopping & grocery. As others have mentioned, the staff was phenomenal - friendly and helpful. Great value!

Terrific Staff
Older hotel so things are a little cramped in the rooms. The staff at the front door and at the front desk were very friendly. Right in the middle of the action downtown. Would recommend at a reasonable price.
