Holiday Inn Express CHICAGO - MAGNIFICENT MILE

Can't say I would stay here again... It was noisy in the hotel.. Staff was not pleasant, room was impeccably small! Shower flooded the bathroom, there was something smudged on the headboard... just disturbing to say the least!

My friends and I were in chicago to audition for a lot of programs. For us the location was unbeatable and the breakfast was perfect for us on the go, not the most amazing thing i've ever eaten, but no complaints here. the staff was great and they even have a gym. For the price it's worth it. Wouldn't stay here if I was planning on living in my hotel, but it's comfortable at the end of a long day. If you are looking to save money, it's a good place.

Perfect Location and everything you need, but no spare square inch, a bit loud.

The location was very convenient to access to downtown and very close to Pizzeria Uno. The breackfast was great. We really enjoyed the selection of the breakfast. Our room had a good view from the window and it was a decent room size.

I really like this hotel! Perfect location, it is very close to almost all the places I planed to go to. (This is my first time to Chicago.) I ordered for $79 per night, amazing price for the amazing place, I recommend to everyone.

My husband and I stayed here recently and had a great time! Before going I read some of the other reviews and was a little concerned but we decided to go ahead and decide for ourselves. Some of the reviews I read were complaining about how small the rooms are and yes they are small but still very comfortable and nice (the bed and pillows were great after a long day of shopping and walking) and our main purpose of staying here was to be close to all the things we wanted to do. To us you can't hardly beat the location, it was within walking distance to ALL the things we were doing on this trip (Shopping, House of Blues, Navy Pier, etc)! The staff was super friendly and made us feel welcome, we were even able to check in early on the day of our arrival which was fantastic! The door man gave us a helpful map and marked several cool spots to check out if we so desired. The map came in very handy! We also loved that they offered free breakfast in the morning another reason we decided to stay here (most of the other hotels I priced out did not offer breakfast). The breakfast spread was delicious and had MANY different choices. We would most definitely recommend this Hotel to anyone and we plan to stay here again!!

The hotel itself is old with small rooms. I had an opportunity to see two rooms, both of which had murphy beds along with small side tables and desks. Rooms were stocked with standard soaps and shampoo, but no extras. In-room TV/entertainment was modern and easy to use, with full cable, movies on demand and a flat screen TV. Despite the small rooms and no frills room experience, the hotel was clean and nicely refurbished. The lobby and lounge/dining area was clean and ample. Staff was exceedingly pleasant and accomodating. The location is in a very nice area. Valet service is convenient. And, although the beds were atypical, I slept well and in comfort. Overall, it was a bit expensive if only consdering the room itself, but all other factors bring the price slightly more in-line. In all, I'd say it was an average value and a slightly better than average overall experience.

best deal in the magnificent mile! good location, and nice staff. everything is within the walking distance. (only a couple blocks away from Mich ave). I've looked up millions of hotels, and hostels in the area and nothing can beat this one.
