Guests simply have to walk to some of the city's best shops, restaurants and bars from the property or take advantage of ample bus and train lines nearby.Rooms
Hilton Chicago rooms embody traditional sophistication. Neutral colors complement heavy wood furniture, from gold-trimmed nightstands and headboards to handsome media cabinets. Guests have a choice, too, thanks to an inventory of 1,544 rooms -- ideal for conventioneers and tourists looking to stay on the Mag Mile. Crown molding and valances in some rooms add extra touches of elegance. Windows have city or Lake Michigan views. Standard amenities include La Source from Crabtree & Evelyn bath products, European linens, 27-inch flat-screen TVs and wired or Wi-Fi access.Dining
Hilton Chicago brings a taste of Ireland to Chicago with Kitty O'Shea, the resident wood-heavy Irish pub, where diners wash down Celtic favorites like shepherd's pie and fish 'n chips with creamy pints of Guinness. For a hearty breakfast buffet, patrons visit The Pavilion, which dishes up 40 items on the stations. The restaurant is open all day.Transportation

Great location for attractions and shopping
Spent 4 days with the family, wife and 2 kids(9,13). Went to the museum and aquarium and did a lot of shopping on Michigan and State streets. The whole family was happy. However, Chicago is a very expensive city and they charge for absolutely everything. All in all a great 4 day getaway but had to pay a lot for it.

Family weekend getaway
Excellent location across Grant Park to walk to Museum Campus with kids. Had a remodeled room on the 13th floor with a view of Lake Michigan. The double beds were not huge but were very comfortable. The room was also a generous size for two adults and two children. Of great value, parking was included in our rate. This is very important as parking in Chicago is very expensive. The pool was a highlight for my son. On the negative side, the service at the hotel restaurant could use some improvement.

Short walk from hotel
1. If you are going to museums, especially She'd Aquarium, buy tickets online. Otherwise you will be stuck in very long lines. 2. Check out the Lincoln Park zoo. It is free and located near Old Town which has wonderfully charming restaurants and shops.

Utterly wonderful
Great beds -- clean facilities, helpful staff. The only downer was paying $2.00 for a banana in the snack area.
