Roaring 1920s meets the rockin' present
Towering 40 floors above the Magnificent Mile, the Hard Rock Hotel Chicago was an institution long before celebrity guests like Dave Navarro passed through its black polished granite and terra cotta walls. The Carbide & Carbon Building earned landmark status in 1996 for its designóa champagne bottle with gold-foil top bubbling over the Windy City. Today, the property takes on rocker appeal and remains a popular place to stay. Room walls are covered with rock-n-roll memorabilia and hip room decor to keep the party going all night long.Highlights

Good value, if you a get a discount.
The Hard Rock's location is perfect for a downtown Chicago visit. When we checked in, our room was not ready for over an hour and a half (and we checked in late) so they upgraded our suite. Very nice of them. Beds were comfortable, room was nice, but you stay here for the location.

Great Location
Hard Rock Hotel Chicago is right on Michigan Avenue. Every room has a view at this place. I was traveling alone and the front desk was very accomidating to my requests for a room with a great view. The night shift concierges was friendly and always helpful about what was close by for shopping an dining. The room itself had plenty of a room and a great shower. The hotels effort to go green was also a nice touch, they give you the option of reusing your towels, if you don't want to you leave them on the floor. I figured I reuse my towels at home, why not now. Overall the experience was great, it's a great location and well worth the money.

Location, location, location
The Hard Rock was perfectly located with easy access to all of our planned events. Located right on the magnificant mile, shops and boutiques were overflowing in every direction. We easily walked to Grant and Milenium Park to attend the fabulous Blues festival. Hard Rock is two short blocks from the theatre district in one direction and two blocks from from the Chicago River in the other direction where outdoor events, restaurants and shops abound! We would definitely stay at the Hard Rock again. The staff were friendly and there is usually more than one concierge on hand to make suggestions, give directions or help with your needs.

Great Location
We were very happy with Hard Rock Hotel's location. It allowed us to walk almost anywhere in the city we wanted to go. The hotel room was pretty nice, not very much drawer space for clothes, though. Staff was very polite and helpful. Only other suggestion would be to have more space in the fridge for water/pop, instead of having to purchase each out of the hotel rooms fridge for $7 a piece. Very pleasant experience, overall. We are definately planning to revisit!

Wonderful experience
The Hard Rock is a wonderful place to stay all around. The staff is first rate, incredicbly helpful and friendly to visitors. Maid service was the best I've experienced, maintenence was fast and the bellmen and concierge are top notch. Rooms are large and well lit and they will deliver a personal fridge if you request one. The fact that they have smoking rooms is a major plus as well. Restaurant is top quality with great service. Hotel is in a super location for dining, shopping and sight seeing. No airport shuttle but fare is $30 to midway and $40 to O'Hara flat rate.
