Roaring 1920s meets the rockin' present
Towering 40 floors above the Magnificent Mile, the Hard Rock Hotel Chicago was an institution long before celebrity guests like Dave Navarro passed through its black polished granite and terra cotta walls. The Carbide & Carbon Building earned landmark status in 1996 for its designóa champagne bottle with gold-foil top bubbling over the Windy City. Today, the property takes on rocker appeal and remains a popular place to stay. Room walls are covered with rock-n-roll memorabilia and hip room decor to keep the party going all night long.Highlights

- China Grill Restaurant
- 10 free iTunes downloads
- Gibson Guitar rentals
- Staffed business center from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

OMG, thats all I can say.
We arrived on our honeymoon on 05/27/2012, we arrived during cleaning of the rooms. Instead of making us wait, the awesome guy at the front desk bumped us up into a higher room. The room was incredibly clean and nice. We walked out around 6:30pm on Sunday, when we returned I noticed someone had been in our room and honestly it kind of freaked me out, the I realized the cleaning staff was there again. The Concierge service was more than we could have possibly expected, we were new to Chicago, they were honest and very considerate. The location is amazing in relation to shopping on the mile, giordono's pizza is accross the street, the Hard rock Chicago will be in our future again.

Good experience
Ovurerall the lodging experience was very good. When we checked in we received a free upgrade because it was our anniversary. You'll definitely apprecite the room/hotel decor if you're a musician or even a music fan. Very nice 24 menu if care to dine in or need a midnight snack. The bar in the hotel was "loud" (but I'm 50yo) BUT the music can't be heard from your room so no big deal. Also, the drinks in the bar were priced high even for the Mag-Mile (paid $17 for an Amstel and Coffe with a shot of Bailey's ?!?!). Ohterwise, everything far surpassed our expectations!

This hotel was great! My boyfriend and I came to get away for the weekend. The location was amazing and we even got a free upgrade because we had stayed there once before. It couldn't have been any better. The bed was so comfy and very clean!

Great Place
I thought the place was great, the staff was very helpful. The location was good. It was easy to get around and was 2 blocks from the Red Line, so going to the Cubs game was easy. The bar/restaurant was nice; the large restaurant was under renovations. They need to update their in house book, it states there is a china grill there, but it is not. Also the plumbing was a bit loud. Overall nice place.

Great Location!
Everything was really nice but I felt they nickled and dimed you.... Had to pay for WIFI in the room, but free in the lounge. $50/day parking when down the street it was only $42. They had a great coffee machine in the room but only decaf and tea available.

I was extremely pleased with my experience at the Hard Rock Hotel. It was my first time there and will definitely plan on going back. The room and hotel staff could not be any better. I appreciate the interesting music decor as well. I cannot wait to return and bring family with me.

No Parking or Rocking here.
They do not tell you that your stay does not include parking until you get there. That will cost you an additional $50 a night. The guest also give you strange looks if you have long hair and leather jackets in this place. I guess people who look like they belong at a hard rock concert should not be at a Hard Rock Hotel. As far as the bar there goes it was anything but rock. I thought I was at the "Hard Rap Hotel".
