Roaring 1920s meets the rockin' present
Towering 40 floors above the Magnificent Mile, the Hard Rock Hotel Chicago was an institution long before celebrity guests like Dave Navarro passed through its black polished granite and terra cotta walls. The Carbide & Carbon Building earned landmark status in 1996 for its designóa champagne bottle with gold-foil top bubbling over the Windy City. Today, the property takes on rocker appeal and remains a popular place to stay. Room walls are covered with rock-n-roll memorabilia and hip room decor to keep the party going all night long.
Highlights
  • On the Magnificent Mile, near Millennium Park and Grant Park
  • China Grill Restaurant
  • 10 free iTunes downloads
  • Gibson Guitar rentals
  • Staffed business center from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Rooms
Rooms and suites at the Hard Rock Hotel Chicago merge the subtle with the bold, like taupe walls accented by Tigerwood furniture and white linens dressed with colorful pillows. Guests say good morning (and goodnight) to city views. Standard amenities include Rock Spa bath products, iPod docking stations and flat-screen TVs. Wireless Internet access is available for an extra charge.
Features
When a hotel provides 10 complimentary iTunes downloads and Gibson guitar rentals, you know music is a priority. Guests at the Hard Rock Hotel Chicago can jam in their own rooms with electric and acoustic guitar rentals, including Les Paul Customs, classic Hummingbirds and the SG Carved Tops. Aspiring musicians sign up for private lessons with Guitar Chicago or watch a 70-minute lesson streaming from the TV in their own hotel room. Talk about VIP.

Clever 1 Solutions & it partners

someone was booked in the same room they booked us in. the room was over 95 degrees when we walked in, the heat was on full blast. The towels were a little dingy, I like to see white towels since I'm in the hotel business myself. The late check out I was told I could have was promised to me from an employee that no longer works there, needless to say I didn't get the late check out I was promised at 4 o'clock. I asked for this simply because my flight does not leave till 9 p.m., I was even willing to pay half of the normal hotel rate. I was told that it would be around $200 which was more than I paid for the room in the first place

Not a hotel for children. Other guests were loud during the night. Pot smoking going on in the room next to us. We were on a non smoking floor.

Will not stay there again, disappointing

Love the location and the front desk staff. They offer room service, but when we called they said they were too busy. We called the next night and they didn't answer. No pool even though one is shown online. The room was very very small, but clean. Light fixtures were not attached properly to the wall and one in the bathroom was hanging from the wall.

Windy City Art Gallery Trip

A friend and I decided to take an impromptu trip to Chicago. We were very pleased to stumble upon this lovely little gem of a hotel. It had everything we needed for our trip. It was centrally located between all the cities best attracations. The staff was extremely helpful, and friendly. Both the restaurant and bar were a pleasant, and convenient addition to our stay at The Hard Rock Hotel. Overall, I can say that our experience was very enjoyable. I would definitely recommend staying here, and would definitely return for another stay at this establishment.
