Great location & good value for a 5-star experience
If you're interested in the Mag Mile & Gold Coast, this location is hard to beat. Lakeview rooms are on high floors so get great views of the lake (although the view from our room for this stay was partially obstructed by another building). Room was spacious, tasteful, and modern with a nice bathroom. Staff is incredibly helpful and friendly. 2 separate elevators to move between lobby & exterior and then lobby & room is a minor inconvenience.

20th Anniversary
Flew in to Chicago for a surprise 20th Anniversary for my wife. I needed a great hotel for the one night. The Four Seasons was a great choice. We were given complimentary champagne and strawberries. The room had a beautiful view of the Lake. Hotel staff were very friendly and attentive. Price was high but worth it.

Dining tip:
Short walk from hotel
Unfortunately for us the great dinner we had planned was not to be. The restaurant we picked (PELAGO, a block east of hotel)at the suggestion of the concierge was a nightmare. The waiter rudely interupted me and my wife, brought the wrong appetizer (telling us we were at fault). The bill for two small pasta appetizers and two average entrees with three glasses of wine $228!

a fine stay..but not a memory maker
Our room was clean and very quiet. We never heard another guest. We had windows on two sides so we had a great view of the lake. We loved the location as it was within walking distance of most of the things we had planned to do. I would not describe the hotel as 5 star tho. A few things in our bathroom were falling apart and we had a the MOST untimely house maid who never seemed to clean while we were out. Furthermore, we are happy to be as "green" as any other traveler but when our sheets were soiled from the city or beach, they were not changed. Finally, if your looking for a very quiet getaway, this is your place. IF your looking for a hotel with an energy and a fresh look, look elsewhere.
