Hotel overall
It was nice looking hotel. Great spot in downtown chicago but what they advertised was ton what I seen when I got there. They did not have a pool. U had to go to a sister hotel just to pay $10 in order to swim. The room was dusty and had no microwave or refrigerator. Knob on the windows were loose. The tub ran brown water. The water, snacks etc....were to high priced. I give this stay nd hotel 2 stars.....

Excellent Hotel, would return
Check-in process was very smooth, even let us into a room several hours before official check-in on a Saturday which was nice. Very clean room, gorgeous bathroom with glass & tile stand up shower and separate bath. The location is kind of a hike from the nearest L stop but it was a great value. Only complaint was the doors appeared pretty thin and we could hear others talking in the hallway as easily as if they were standing in our room.

You can buy a CTA Fun Pass at the CVS in the building right next to the hotel. You are not able to buy these unlimited short-term passes actually at the L kiosks in the stations so take advantage if you are planning to use public transit.

Consistently great quality
I love Fairmont properties. They are always consistent in their high quality and service. The staff was incredibly helpful and nice. They allowed me to keep my car parked in the drive up lobby while unpacking and checking out my room, before heading out to the city again. Most hotels pressure you to valet if you're stopped for a second in front of the entrance. Just one example of how they go above and beyond.

Okay
I had 2 complaints about this hotel. The website I used to book it said that this hotel had a pool, and it didn't. It really upset my 2 children. Also, the only parking offered was valet, which was over $60 a night.
