Nice hotel, but parking rates for guests are outrageous. Paid $73 for 1 overnight stay! Will not stay here again unless absolutely necessary. Will look around better next time. Would've liked to known parking rates beforehand.

Not impressing.
Not too impressed, no full mirrors. Toilet papers not refilled new. So little space, I got a room supposed to be accessible for disabled, but the room was so small that wheelchairs can't just be driven conveniently.

Good downtown hotel
In an excellent location. Has a good Einstein bagel place in the lobby and a Starbucks right across the street. Nothing fancy about the small lobby and bar area.

Just across the street is a store called Domonicks which is a great place to buy snacks for lunch or late night-- and there is a Starbucks there so unless you want breakfast at $15+ in the hotel , go there !

Nice place to stay near the Magnificent Mile
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The beds are so comfortable! Unfortunately the rooms have expensive mini bars instead of mini fridges or microwave ovens and the wireless Internet required additional money, too.

a bit to be desired
I stayed at this hotel for a long weekend in Chicago. Upon arriving, the staff was exceptionally courteous, and helped in any way possible. My room on the 16th floor was another story. The bathroom has NO BATHTUB. That means however you position the shower head, you will splash water all over the floor, as there is nothing to separate the shower from the rest of the bathroom floor, like an enclosure of some sort. Also, there is no vanity/countertop space. Being a female, that was a bit frustrating. More than this, was the fact that in corners of the bathroom floor, there was piles of hair and dust..obviously not well cleaned from the last X amount of guests. There is also no ventilation system to dehumidify the bathroom after a nice hot shower, so this causes the mirrors and windows in the hotel room to steam up when you open the bathroom door for circulation. This also showed me another cleaning lapse - the imprints of the fun times had by other hotel guests in the windows overlooking the city...I'll not mention all the visible body parts left behind. Overall, the location was great - within walking distance of shopping, eating, The Field Museum, Navy Pier, Soldier Field, and Shedds Aquarium. So, a decent place if you arent planning to do more than sleep there, but be sure to bring your own can of lysol.

DO NOT GO!!!
This was the worst experience at a hotel!!!! The elevators were shut down and we were on the 15th floor!!! After they got the service elevators working the 2nd day you had to wait 20 mins to catch one and even then they were mostly full with people and laundry/staff things. The noise level was ridiculous through the night and the water in the room came out red...rust? The staff told us they would take care of our parking but as we checked out they charged us $90 for parking and a $100 deposit without saying a word! When I told the front desk how disappointed I was the lady simply said "Sorry you're all set to check out have a good day" I would never recommend this hotel and would inform everyone to stay clear!!!!

We spent 5 nights at the Doubletree in Chicago. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The location was great and only a few blocks from Michigan Ave. This is the 3rd time we have stayed on our visits to Chicago and would stay again in the future. A good value for the dollar.
