Catch a ball game, visit major museums, relax on a budget
The Best Western Grant Park Hotel offers visitors a great downtown location to take in all of Chicago's main attractions. Chicago's hustling and bustling Loop district, Millennium Park, Soldier Field (home of the Chicago Bears) and three of the city's most notable museums (the Art Institute of Chicago, the Adler Planetarium, Shedd Aquarium and the Field Museum of Natural History) are all within easy reach. Families will find the accommodations both comfortable and affordable. Savor a wide range of cuisines in Mei's Kitchen, where Asian, American and Italian dishes compete for guests' attention. Looking for a little exercise? Take advantage of the seasonal outdoor pool and sundeck or visit the fitness room. It's also an easy train ride away from both O'Hare and Midway Airports.

Not bad, but not the best ever.

Check in was super fast, desk clerk was friendly. Room was clean, smelled good. I was there right after new years, winter time in Chicago. The heater even on full blast did not warm up the room to my liking, no problem. Bed was comfy, and bedbug free. Price was right for a overnight stay downtown chicago, will stay there again. It is by no means a 5 star hotel, its just a hotel with a decent location, keep your expectations reasonable and you wont be disappointed.

    Great Value, friendly staff

Very pleased with our stay here. This hotel is a great value for the money. Though located a bit away from the heart of downtown Chicago we found it is conveniently located to the train station so that downtown locations are easily accessible. It is also located very close to some of the city's best museums and Millennium Park. If you're a music fan you'll be just three blocks from Buddy Guy's Legends, one of the country's best Blues nightclubs. Though the rooms are a bit small they are very clean and comfortable. Food is available onsite at Mei's Kitchen. Had breakfast & dinner there and the food was good and reasonably priced. Hours are limited and they don't serve lunch but many options for dining are available within easy walking distance. Can't say enough good things about the staff. Everyone was courteous and very helpful. Will stay there again on my next visit to Chicago.

    A quick get away

An older hotel but clean with a courteous staff to help in sight seeing suggestions. We came in the non- tourist time and was able to check in as soon as we got there. Near to everything you my want to see in 3 days and more. The restaurant associated with the hotel actually has excellent food but we discovered that sadly on our last day there. It may not be fancy but the price we paid was not either. We would stay there again with no worries.

    FOR A LONG STAY

For a longer visits to this area of Chicago, the price is hard to beat. Parking is safe, secure and cheap for valet service. Though not in top notch condition, the rooms are comfortable. The staff are friendly and one bell hop exceptionally helpful, almost Sherpa level.

    Chicago!

I visited Chicago to see the Dallas Mavs vs the Bulls. The Mavs lost, unfortunately but it was a wonderful experience overall. We stayed right on Michigan Avenue which is in the middle of everything. We did quite a bit of walking -parks, stores, restaurants, Navy Pier. It was probably one of my favorite trips ever. The hotel is a little older but lovely. The staff was lovely. Overall, great hotel with great value! You do have to pay for valet, FYI.

    great location

not impressive from the street, but this is a much smaller and friendlier hotel than many in the same area. the price is right if spending several nights. there is a trader joe's half a block away, and lots of small cafes in the area. oh, for breakfast, yolk is next door and bongo room across the street. the field museum is so close you can't resist looking in. parking is super safe even for the most finicky car lover.
