Ultra modern treat
The hotel is extremely stylish, from the ultra modern decor and art noveau accented wall paper in the lobby to the brightly modern decoration of our room, complete with blue-tinted ceiling and antiqued mirror in front of the bed. While decor only goes so far, it does make a hotel stay more vibrantly pleasant and enjoyable. The relaxed and convivial wine/beer tasting in the evening was delightful. It's right downtown, so you have to walk a little to get away from office buildings, but very convenient. The one place it falls down is not having a pool, but that's the price you pay for such a great building.

Allegro Chicago Marathon Weekend
the staff at this hotel was great! right from our arrival, we were treated well, local amenities were explained and the front desk staff helped with some tricky dinner reservations. it's location was perfect for watching the marathon as it is between the 2-3mile and 20K locations for observing your runners.

Weekend Anniversary Vacation
The hotel itself is absolutely amazing visually, the decorations are fantastic and the overall aesthetics are phenomenal. The location was also great and had very convenient access to both CTA bus and train lines, as well as bars/lounges. The only disappointing aspect was the size of the room itself- we were in a king-size room and the pictures on the website made it appear that it would be quite a bit larger. Although it did look nice, it almost looked like a miniature version of what it should have been, including the bathroom. One thing I must absolutely HIGHLY recommend is the concierge, Gianna. She was incredibly friendly, made us feel very welcome even though my boyfriend and I are a younger couple experiencing our first time in a VERY nice hotel, and was chatty and relatable when we told her we were in town for a concert, and she even referenced the show we were seeing personally. Additionally, we briefly mentioned that it was our 1-year anniversary and when we came home from the show, there was a bottle of champagne and a tray of delicious chocolates with a note saying 'Happy Anniversary'. This personal touch absolutely made us love the hotel and is probably the biggest reason why we would go back. This woman deserves a huge raise and a lot of credit!!!

Great value for downtown Chicago
The staff were excellent. We got a great deal through Orbitz, so for the price it couldn't be beat. If the price difference is not too great, definitely opt for the 1BR suite; it was a super value for us.

Great Location, Price, and Quality
This hotel was perfect for our spontaneous trip to Chicago. The location of this hotel was right in the heart of Chicago. Short walk from the CTA trains, malls, restaurants, Willis Tower, and Millennium Park! I am all about modern decorating, and this hotel was definitely modern. The look of all the rooms and furniture was sleek and colorful. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We had a flat screen TV and strong shower water pressure. My only problem was that the mattress was too stiff for me. Otherwise, the hotel added to a great Chicago experience.

We got lucky
We procrastinated and booked this hotel on a weekend for a much more reasonable price than the other hotels. We were pleasantly surprised by the location, decor and friendly staff. The room was very roomy and clean. I would definitely stay here again.
