Great vacation!!!!
Resort was wonderful in every possible way! We cannot think of anything that was not perfect. View, room, resort grounds, parking, friendly/welcoming staff, ocean access, etc... was all great! Multiple pools throughout the resort. Resort provides nice clean beach towels anytime you want to trade them in.

OUTSTANDING STAFF
Almost everyone on the staff was outstanding. However, one evening I had to call and request a box of tissues and a roll of toilet paper. Also, the bulb in the lamp between the beds was out..so I guess it was never checked. However, everyone was friendly and always ready to help. The problematic area is the Hertz desk on the property. Three days in a row, my mom went to Hertz and there was a sign stating that they had to leave early do to a family emergency. She spoke to someone at another desk that stated it's a daily occurrence. My mom rented a car, when she and I took possession of the vehicle my mom noticed some scratches on the bumper. When she went to report them, there was the sign stating that they had to close early due to a family emergency. The hotel, on a whole, is beautiful, but the carpet in the halls really should be torn up and replace with tile. It has buckled in many places and seems to be a safety hazard. A huge trip hazard in my opinion. Not to mention it's just ugly. Otherwise the hotel is very nice.

Solid place with good location
Enjoyed our time here, but can you really go wrong in Maui? Service was good.

Good location on Maui
Like the title says, the location is good and very convenient. The biggest problem is that their definition of "ocean view" is quite broad and includes some limited or partial ocean views. There is construction happening at a site to the North and it's easy to hear if you end up in a North facing room. Also on the North side is where their delivery trucks go. So if possible try to get a room on the South end or ocean front. This hotel is right next to the Shops at Wailea which is pretty useful.

A perfect spot....
Everything was good until the last day, Mothers Day. My daughter and son in law took us to brunch at 11am. The Eggs Benedict were dry and hard and the dessert table was looked pretty sad, with very little on it.(cookies and two cakes). Everything else was good.

go to the shopping centre instead of eating at the resort. restaurant food prices are pretty expensive inside resort, a lot cheaper in the wailea shopping centre.
