Whale watching family vacation.

Resort is grand and beautiful. Room was clean and our oceanfront balcony gave spectacular views of whale watching and sunsets. Beach is gorgeous with sea turtles and good waves for boogie boarding. Everyone at the hotel was very friendly.

Great 2nd Honeymoon

We had a wonderful time and loved the hotel. The only criticism was - we paid over $30.00 a day for parking, WIFI, and pool towels, and we unable to get towels other than ONE of the 8 days we were there because they ran out almost EVERYTIME we tried to get them. This is unacceptable. It's ridiculous that we have to pay an extra fee to park our car and get a towel when we are paying nearly $400 for our room, but when we pay that amount of money and don't even get the service we are paying for? Not right. PS - are you kidding? I MUST enter a nickname but you won't let me enter my nickname because it's too short?

Maui in February - life is good

Once again, the Sheraton Maui delivered the goods. The resort is beautiful, the food was great, and the staff were friendly. February is a great time to see marine life , and everyday we went into the ocean we saw sea turtles swimming near the shore. And you could frequently see whale tails and blowhole activity on the horizon. It's a great resort in a great location, with lots to do within walking distance if you want to go exploring! I am certain we will return.

Great vacation place

Best vacation we have ever had. Received a free upgrade from partial ocean view to ocean-side room right at the start just to keep us happy about having 2 double beds instead of a king. Much better than the location we had originally booked. Wonderful whale watching right off our balcony. Terrific snorkeling spot with lots of fish and huge sea turtles. Meals came with sticker shock but that seems to be the way for most of Maui. Can't fault the room or the service though.

Black Rock Rocks

This was my third time staying at the Sheraton Maui. Overall, this hotel is a very nice hotel. However, I absolutely LOVE staying there for the following reasons: 1. Location - It is absolutely the best location on the island of Maui. Situated directly behind Black Rock, you can walk a few short steps out of your room and snorkel at one of Maui's premier snorkel locations. Likewise, the hotel is a short walk to Lahaina, which abounds with great restaurants and art galleries. 2. Staff - the staff at The Sheraton Maui is great. To a man, they are very courteous, friendly and helpful. It is also a nice touch that the daily brunch staff remembers your name referring to you as Mr Jones.

Wasn't perfect but close to it

10th year in a row at the Sheraton. Starting to show a little age but the Deluxe Ocean Front rooms at the Sheraton Maui can't be beaten for view, value and privacy by any other hotel on Maui. Dining tip - Whalers Village - a combination of shops and restaurants thats about a 10 minute walk from the Sheraton has just added another great restaurant besides the Hula Grill and Leilanis. It is Maui Fish and Pasta and the food is excellent.

First time to Maui!

Loved this place!! The fact that all the amenities are right at the resort! The restaurants on the property are fabulous however, a little on the expensive side! The cocktails are twice that of the bars on the mainland. But it was nice that all of the restaurants included suggested gratuities. We really did enjoy the fact that all of the hotels along the beach are connected by the ocean walk. The Sheraton has the best of both worlds because it was right at the end of the ocean walk and seemed very private for the guests.
