This hotel has a beautiful beach, great breakfast buffet, nice patio for dining and watching the sun set. Dinner entertainment was top notch. The room was very clean and nicely decorated and had a LARGE bathroom. My ocean view room overlooked more of the golf course than the ocean. Avoid room #29 on any floor. All other rooms likely have better views of the ocean.

First time to Maui
It was an amazing trip and I will be going back. The hotel was ok not dirty or anything but just older. ONE BIG complaint is the water in our room could not be regulated so this made showering real difficult. Hotel was super accommodating with our late flight and even let us use a room to freshen up in after we had checked out. Great value and we will be back !

Great hotel - beautiful grounds.
I have stayed here many times before, but this time I stayed in a cottage. No complaints except for a big bug one day - maintenance slow to respond. I had a package deal with Dollar Rent A Car. Car was to be similar to a Hyundai Sonata, but they wanted to give me a Jeep - way too big for me to drive. When booking, I had no choice to select a compact, but I insisted on a small car, even though I paid for a mid-size. Not happy about that.

beautiful beach
had a nice stay at the hotel. Beach was very nice and right in front of the hotel. Perfect for relaxing and snorkeling :) got an aloha special price room. great deal!

Excellent place to stay
Very comfortable beds and the room view was amazing... Make sure you take the road to Hana tour and the helicopter tour.

Unbeatable for the price
I had a fantastic time. The hotel room was just awesome with shutters and windows across two sides. The grounds all around the. Cottages is simply unparalleled. It was luscious and green and spacious. I was steps from the beach. The staff was great. "whatever you want" was a common phrase. [...]The catamaran snorkel was beautiful and peaceful. The lunch was delicious. I really recommend Teralani Snorkel. I've taken many snorkel trips and this was the best. I also recommend Lahaina Jewelry. They have the best prices in town and I did comparative shopping. Lealanis restaurant at Whalers Village had the best ceasar salad I've ever had. I was a little concerned as I've never taken a package trip before but from my emails regarding my trip to my plane trip it was the best trip ever. [...]Than you so much

Nice after a bad start
After bad start, my stay at the resort was very nice. The first night that I checked in, I was taken to my cottage where I showered and prepared for some sleep. But there was something missing...what was it, I wondered. A BED, I later found out. After looking around I finally found out that the couch had a pull out but there were no sheets or pillows! Also the springs that supported the mattress were few. I took some pictures of the whole thing and showed the staff my problem. They were all very nice and apologized for the situation and eventually moved me to the main tower which was very nice. Its best I think, to avoid the cottages altogether unless they have a great view of the ocean. Inspect first!!!

Royal Lahaina
I LOVED this place. Was treated like a queen from the beginning when I pulled into the resort gateway and was given a free upgrade on my room. EVERYTHING you need is right there, from luau, golf, tennis, beach, dining options. I especially loved the ambiance and options of the Royal Ocean Terrace Restaurant. This place far exceeded my expectations for its price.

awesome time
I was upgraded from a garden view cottage to an ocean front view at the tower and champaigne service was included. I took the trolley/walk to the whaler's village and found great food/drinks specials. Amazing beach location, great sunsets, weddings almost every night in the garden area.

If you miss the trolley pick up (free service) it is a short distance to the whaler's village shopping/restaurants/hotels, just follow the beach walk signs.
