Honeymoon Vacation

This was a great place to stay and my wife and I had a great time. The room was nice and cozy, very clean and had a beautiful balcony that we just loved to look at the ocean with. The hotel gave us a great deal on our stay and for a little extra we got upgraded to a partial ocean view. The price we paid I thought we got the most bang for our buck. Was a very nice experience and I would stay there again.

A Safeway was just down the road from the Hotel and my Wife and I saved a lot of money but using the mini fridge in the Hotel and eating on the balcony for breakfast time. Lots of fresh fruit and bread made a very nice start to the day.

Our Honeymoon

My wife and I spent our honeymoon here and far be it from me to be critical but we had a wonderful time with some caveats. Every day we had the room cleaned b/c we were there for an extended stay. We had the option to only replace towels left on the floor. When we could we chose this option to help with being Green and saving the Earth. But irregardless of what we did there was never the same amount of towels. We were always shy a face cloth or the bath mat towel or a body towel. It was very strange. My wife and I were enjoying ourselves so we overlooked it as lacking a towel didn't ruin the trip but it was noticed. The staff was very nice but not always the most helpful. Some seemed a little lacksidasical while others were very eager to try and help for a tip even when we requested we were all set. Like I said, very minor things. Our trip was a blast and the hotel's view of the ocean and beach is stellar. Would definitely recommend to other folks.

Weekend Getaway

It was my Mother-in-Law's 62nd birthday, as well as my baby girl's 4-month birthday, so we decided to celebrate with a weekend getaway to Maui. This was also baby's first flight/stay away from home, and the hotel was more than accommodating for baby and adults alike. The rooms were very clean, and held three adults and one infant comfortably. We had two beds and a crib in the room without difficulty. The grounds are convenient to the Ka'anapali resort area; you are close enough to walk there, but far enough away to get some peace and quiet.

Great Resort. Great Location.

The resort was extremely nice. The only negative is that they do not provide spa services so you must go offsite.Would recommend!

I would suggest checking out dining options outside of the resort. The breakfast buffet is slightly overpriced at the resort.

Nice Location - overall good experience

The resort was very nice and in a great location. The rooms in the tower were much nicer than the cottages. Resort does not offer spa services so you will have to go offsite if you are looking for a spa. Also, complimentary breakfast is not offered and the breakfast buffet is slightly overpriced. Overall the resort was nice and would recommend.

There are plenty of places to eat nearby. I would suggest taking a short drive to find a place to eat rather than eating at the resort as their dining options are a bit overpriced.

The best family vacation ever!!!!

Initally assigned a room on back of hotel. Dom at front desk went out of his way and assigned us two rooms next ay with garden and partial ocean views. We were so grateful and we let him know. The staff were so accomodating. The dining was great even though every thing is very expensive. Since we had prepared for this vacation for some time, we were able to enjoy the entertainment such as the Luoa.

the best dining and shopping was in Lahaina. The Trolley was free and the bus only one dollar each way. Whalers village is more upscale if that is your budget.

Aloha Spirit

This was our eighth stay at the Royal Lahaina - and we agreed it was the best visit ever. The staff are friendly and helpful; the room extremely confortable; and the location cannot be beat. We walked to Whaler's Village and Duke's using the fantastic Beach Walk, enjoyed fabulous food and sunsets and enjoyed the pool, beach and on-site amenities. Would recommend this place and are counting down the days until we visit next year.

Shopping tip: Short walk from hotel

Leave your car at the resort, and take the beautiful beach walk to Whaler's Village for lunch at one of the three excellent restaurants. It is a 20 minute walk. If too tired or full to walk back, take the free trolley - and say "aloha" to Harold, one of the drivers. Don't forget to wear sunscreen on your walk!

Great Location

The location of this hotel is great, being right on the beach. Beautiful clean beach!! It is only a couple miles from the town of Lahiana, which is very convenient and a beautiful beach town. The staff at the hotel was very friendly and helpful. We stayed in a cottage, which was nice and spacious for two people, but the walls are thin and we could hear our neighbors. The grounds have beautiful gardens, with lots of plumeria tree's. Overall, it is a nice place to stay.
