BEST WESTERN Pioneer Inn

They were efficient. It was in a perfect location. The room was spotless. It had a fun balcony that overlooked the fun shops of Front St.

The hotel is in the center of Lahaina and easy to walk around the town. Free off site parking about a block away is adequate but detracts from the value. The rooms are very clean but noisy - the next door patrons were very loud. My room was facing the Banyon Tree and the tree was full of birds which did not have a bedtime voice!! Overall - a great place to stay and 1st rate staff.

Centrally located yet quiet at night for sleeping. Very pleasant balcony over looking the harbor on the right, banyans tree and magpies straight ahead and to the left are shops and restaurants. Plenty of entertainment and shops within walking distance. Music, art and good food are everywhere, Lots of icecream. Several historic sites are right there including the hotel. Hotel even have a scale to weigh our luggage for the return flight. FREE PARKING !!!

An old inn, nicely renovated, on the waterfront, near a beach. The hotel had old-fashioned decor with a wraparound porch. Free parking across the street was appreciated, as were the in room coffee maker, fridge, and good shower pressure. They also offered 15% off at the restaurant, but we ate elsewhere. Our clean, comfortable room faced the famous banyan tree with a glimpse of water. Some may have found it noisy, but we had no problem. The pool was being cleaned the day we were there, so we enjoyed the beach. Not a resort by any means, but certainly a nice place to stay in town. The room air conditioner was noisy, though. Our room was up a flight of stairs, and I am not sure about accessibility. The staff were hospitable, genuinely warm and helpful, thanks.

Overall a great stay at the Pioneer Inn. Great location... across the street from harbor and banyan tree. Many great restaurants and art galleries are within a 5 minute walk. Front Street can get noisy at night so an inner courtyard room was perfect. Staff was incredibly friendly, restaurant was okay... but had great live entertainment on Tuesday and Wednesday night(s). Bed was comfortable, but walls are a little thin. Will definitely stay there again!

We had been on Maui twenty-two years ago and decided that if we ever came back, we would stay at this wonderful, quaint hotel. We both love old hotels and this one has been renovated and was very comfortale. We stayed five days on the Harbor side facing the Banyan Tree. It did get a little noisy in the evening, but using the air conditioning helped us to sleep and we weren't bothered a bit. The music was over around 11 p.m. each night.There is a ceiling fan in the room and a wonderful porch to sit out on and watch the world go by. The room was very clean, made up daily and the bed was very comfortable. We loved the breakfast and dinner at the Pioneer Inn and there were little birds who would eat right from your hand. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. It was a wonderful second trip to Maui!!

perfect how i like it: history all around dont bring your teen or child here! this is old world charm Quiet, peaceful NO fuss stay...fishing boats off your deck and amazin pancakes from the resturant below...the staff is mature but looks over worked...i get why Ms. Hepburn stayed her yesteryear

It may be called Best Western but the hotel itself, Pioneer Inn is a historical landmark. Plus an unbelievable location, right next to the pier. Experience all the buzz around Lahaina. The room was spacious with a lovely balcony facing inwards into the pool. Which was nice and quiet. Good service.

great. They were friendly, courteous, and quick to fix the only problem we experienced. They offered a food coupon for 15% off of food at their restaurant which was also very good. They have an excellent location for anything you might choose to do.
