Aston Kona by the Sea

We had such a wonderful time on our vacation and would highly recommend Aston Kona By The Sea, The waves were truly awesome to watch and we really enjoyed watching them at night as there were lights directed out to the ocean. Our flight didn't take off until 10:00 pm on the day of our check out and they let us still have access to restrooms and their grounds even providing towels for us after we checked out. The place was centrally located for the activities we planned

The room was comfortable with a great view. We saw whales and turtles from our balcony. The staff was helpful in planning our stay. The pool and hot tub very convenient.

Excellent stay, staff was attentive to our needs. Rooms were first class and well kept up. Location was absolutely great. Our only issue was initial location of our room. We purchased an ocean front room and were placed in a room directly in front of the pool area which partially blocked the ocean. We made our case and were relocated to another room that was perfect. You may want to clarify with Aston what "ocean front" means. Otherwise, we will look forward to staying there again.

This was a very nice hotel, overlooking the sea. our family had a pleasant stay. The kitchen and the washer/dryer in the room was very helpful. very comfortable hotel and highly recommend this hotel especially for families with kids.

All was ready, even though we checked in an hour or so early. Unit was excellent. TV was poor to fair -- no HD or extra cable channels, but neither were a deal breaker. On the beach but not a swimming beach -- a disappointment. Close enough to restaurants but will equipped kitchen also. Concierge service was excellent and very helpful in getting to know the island and signing up for excursions. We would readily stay at this place again.

I loved the decor. The kitchen was well furished. Couldn't get any closier to the sea. Beautiful view! I didn't like the $80.00 amenty charge. I see know reason for it. I didn't like that I had to pay to print my boarding passes.

Good place to stay but I was hoping we would be able to get in the water from our hotel but there was not beach, just unsafe rocks and the little enclosure where it might have been safe did not always get filled with water. The fire alarm went off 2 nights in a row which disturbed our sleep but at least we knew it worked in case of a real fire!

Wonderful, the property was beautiful, and the view was breathtaking. We even got to be fly on the wall guests for a traditional Hawaiian wedding.

This is our second time here. The location is beautiful and the staff is good. The only complaint we had was our first night someone pulled the fire alarm and the alarm sound is not loud enough. If it wasn't for our son who was sleeping in the front of the unit my wife and I would have never have heard the alarm going off. And the hotel didn't call every room with people in it to alert them to the alarm. Other than that glitch it was a wonderful stay.

This hotel is close to the airport, close to shopping areas, and driving distance to all major scenic locations. The Staff was extremely friendly and courteous at this Hotel, and for my Wife and I, it was important to have a Washer/Dryer in the room, and cooking ability. There are Gas Grills right out by the water to grill your food on! The terraces are also nice too, as you can sit out and just listen to the waves and feel the cool Hawaiian breeze.
