Just across the street from one of south Maui's favorite beaches, the 15-acre Kamaole Sands offers families an affordable "at-home" stay in fully equipped one-bedroom, two-bath or two-bedroom, two-bath condo units. The low-rise property is lushly landscaped with freshwater ponds, waterfalls and oversized trees with views onto Kamaole Beach Park III and the ocean. Kamaole Sands - Maui Condo and Home
This is the second year we've stayed at Kamaole Sands and again were completely satisfied. We had a garden condo with an incredible view of the constantly tended greenery, flowers, and waterfall. The barbeque facilities are incredible with ample, always clean barbeques and tables adjacent the open grass/garden areas - a great family orientated facility. Ample security was evident and quiet times were observed which added to the very relaxing atmosphere. Located in South Kihei across from the three, public Kamaole beaches, there is easy access by car to nearby shopping centers, and other, less crowded beaches with incredible snorkeling, and other ocean activities. Even though we didn’t use the pool and other provided facilities, they were well maintained, very clean, and utilized by many others.

Maui Trip - great trip, OK room
Hotel has a very good location in Kihei. Nice landscaping and good tennis courts. Bedroom needs an air conditioner, as got very hot at night. The biggest issue was that the bedroom faced the parking lot and would get loud at night or early in the morning with the windows open. Windsurfing at Kanaha Beach was fantastic!

Mother and Daughter's Fantastic Getaway
As a first place of stay of our trip to several Hawaiian Islands, we stayed at this hotel. The staff were very friendly and always gave us kind information on cooking Hawaiian food and enjoying and driving the area. That was a good place to stay.

weeklong rest and relaxation
The facilities are great and we love the location. This was our 4th time to this facility and we will definitely return. The only issue we had is that the King Size bed in our room was like sleeping on concrete. Very uncomfortable. The hide a bed sofa was more comfortable. Could use an overlay pad or something as the mattress appeared to be fairly new.

Great Location
The room itself was okay. No maid service and we found to be the only complaint. Great location right across from a good beach and snorkeling area. Walk to some places to eat and shop.

see above. As per below survey, I'm checking the best of all for the unit we ended up with, but the unit we were originally assigned was unacceptable. Kamaole Sands is a wonderful property, IF, and ONLY IF you go through Castle Resorts, the ONLY on-site management company. Please make a note of this in your records.

Hawaii vacation at Kamaole Sands
Upon arrival we were given a room that was bad. Carpets were soiled and smelled of moisture and mold. Lanai had not been cleaned and entire place smelled awful. When I complained the staff at service desk was rude and told me that is "none of their business" and directed me to a phone number for Maui Condo and Home. I was then put on hold before finally getting to talk to someone. Then gave us a choice of several condos which had old appliances. They informed us they won't issue any refund and that we need to settle on one of these condos. Condo we chose had decent location, yet most appliances sorely needed update and lanai needed cleaning.We've been to West Maui Kahana Falls before and loved it. Staying at Kamaole Sands was disappointing and we won't stay there again. [...] this property was managed by company whose management is not even on the property! [...]

the first room was a mess
One, if you stay @ a condo remember that if you have a problem like the AC will not work of the room is nasty then you will have to call a # and wait for someone to fix the problem ...or tell the people @ the desk that you will not wait and then they finally give you another room....a room that has two bathrooms but the water only works in one of those bathrooms.but this was close to the beach and the out side was pretty.
