Disturbed stay

The first night we got there after 7 hours of traveling, flight delays and that sort I just wanted to sleep. I went to my room after check in, was about to slide under the blankets when my leg felt damp. The sheets had a big circle of dampness that had seeped through all the way to the mattress. Ew. And the weirdest thing it was it wasn't on the first blanket. When I called to talk to guest services the woman practically hung up on me when I was explaining what happened. She wasn't even listening to what I was saying just rushing me off the phone saying "ok, ok, ok, ok, ok." It took an hour and a half/closer to two hours for them to fix the issue. Horrible customer service. Never coming back. Nobody at the hotel bothered to ask further when I said my stay was horrible while checking out. So disappointed.

Great location in Honolulu

I had a really great time staying at Sheraton Waikiki for last five days with my family. Although my room was located a little far from the elevator and the room itself wasn't that fancy and charming, it wasn't that bad and it was pretty spacious. What I really loved about the hotel was a beautiful swimming pool! We rented four beach chairs, which legs are inside the pool for USD 25 for each chair, and I think it's a pretty great deal considering you can spend the whole day there under the sun! There are many interesting shops around the lobby, and you must stop by 'the Cookie Corner,' where they give you sampling cookies every time you walk into the store! and don't forget to stick your ID in your pocket as they strictly check IDs at the bar no matter how old you look! Overall, it was a good hotel considering the price.

Large hotel with great amenities

My wife and I really enjoyed much of what this hotel has to offer, such as the infinity pool, water slide, breakfast buffet, and central location. Our only complaints might be that the room's carpet could have been a little cleaner, and the room was missing the bench which sits in front of the bed and TV.

How did this hotel get 4 stars???

My room smelled had multiple spots of mold in the bathroom and carpet stains. There is no dresser or table & chairs in the room. The room in my opinion was never cleaned and I had to wear shoes the whole time. Yes the grounds are nice and the staff was nice, but I would never ever recommend staying there!

Great location

Receptionist took a long time to check us in. We had arrived early, but she was kind enough to get us a room. We were surprised that the luggage of the previous occupant was still in the room. Next day when we tried to check out from the room TV, we got a massage that we were not checked in and should go to the reception deck.

Been here many times and will go back

I've stayed at many of the hotels/condos in Waikiki and this my favorite. The only downside, compared to some, is that the beach is actually not immediately in front of the hotel but its really only a 100 feet or so. Now some of the pros: the rooms are great, extremely comfortable beds and pillows, balconies are a nice size, free wifi, the set up of the hotel is a very nice design so the distance from your room to the beach or pool really only feels like a few steps, the locations is excellent with the exception of the beach distance noted above, good gym, and the pool is my favorite in the whole area. The infiniti pool is an adult only pool that overlooks the beach and diamond head with great views (excellent for photography), and plenty of chairs/towels etc. Another favorite of mine is Outrigger Waikiki because I really like Duke's Restaurant on the 1st floor but the hotel itself there is not as nice as the Sheraton so occasionally I just walk. Rum Fire is a good restaurant (somewhat pricey but expected for the location) and a great bar at night (mostly young professional ages). Will stay here again.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

Several: for dining there are a few places a very short walk away with great food and some cheaper prices then what you find in the more populated spots. Go to Pho Saigon on Kuhio, (one block north of Sheraton) for great pho and cheap prices. Arancino is a FANTASTIC Italian restaurant on Beach Walk about 2-3 blocks from Sheraton with decent prices and excellent food. For other attractions Hanauma Bay is decent but its getting trashed by tourism and now you have to wait/watch a video. Instead I prefer to just grab a cab and go to Kahala Beach which is just on the other side of Diamond Head and is sparcely populated ($15 cab ride). Climb diamond head, its $1 on foot, and has excellent views. We also took a rainforest tour with Guides of Oahu for $45 and well worth it (petroglyphs, burial sites, King Kamehameha III's palace, movie sites etc) which I would certainly recommend.

Great Hotel

Stayed at Marriott a few years back and Sheraton this trip - Sheraton is hands down better. Elevators are a bit strange, but that's my only complaint. Def worth the dough. Breakfast buffet is by far one of the best.
