Great place to stay
We certainly got our monies worth at this hotel. Front desk folks were great. House cleaning was efficient and prompt. Air conditioning left a bit to be desired - could not regulate the room temp. But overall room temp was comfortable. Not a lot of amenities in the room. One chair. We had to move patio furniture inside to have a place to sit.

Excellent Value but....
The hotel was an excellent value for what I paid and that staff was very friendly. The hotel is very worn and the rooms are very small and the ice machines are on every 4th floor. They could use an update. In addition, I paid extra for an Ocean View room but had to REALLY stretch my neck to see the Ocean. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is not picky and recognizes a great deal and location. I didn't go to Honolulu to stay in the room and would honestly do it over again . Has far as Wakiki goes, I would not stay longer than 3 days and visit some of the other islands or even some other locations on the island. However, the people of Hawaii are very gracious and wonderfully nice people. If you are in the LGBT Community, this hotel is two doors down from a huge bar called Hula's. MAKE SURE YOU TAKE THE CATAMARAN TOUR $20! The staff there really treat you like family and they even invited us out for a night on the town after they got off work. Awesome group of people there! Finally, the Roberts Tours were very entertaining and good. I would recommend the Round the Island tour the first day. I would probably have gone to different places if I hadn't waited until the end of my stay.

TheBus, the municipal rapid transit system, is excellent and you can get to many places. Make sure you get a transfer when you get on the bus. We found paying the 2.50 fare was far less expensive than paying the daily rate. Use Google maps to find your bus routes. There is free WIFI in the lobby if you ask for the password at the front desk.
