Fantastic!

We stayed here the last night of our Honeymoon, it was perfect. The staff was warm and greeted us nicely, and we even got a free room upgrade! I would definitely recommend this hotel. It's a block away from the Boardwalk at Waikiki, you couldn't ask for a better view on the Oceanview side!

Wonderful Hawaiian getaway

This vacation at Honolulu was just what we needed. Very comfortable room. Little things at this hotel made a big difference, like the iced "flavored" water in the lobby and the live music. The view was amazing. The beds were wonderful, very comfy. The shower was a little slippery if we weren't careful. The restaurant, MAC 24-7 was running a little slow at 10:00 at night. The drive up ramp in the front of the hotel was a little tight for more than a few cars. Overall, a very nice hotel. We were very pleased with the service, the location, and the cleanliness.

Great place to rest.

My son and I had a wonderful time. Within walking distace of great places to eat, shop and play. The zoo is close as is the beach. Having sometype of Navigation is a must so you don't miss out. They are missing a Spa, so you will need to look elsewhere for a Massage. Over all the place met our needs.

Close to beach, nice pool area, great value

Some context: I'm a guy in my 20s who likes to stay up late and go out at night to bars/clubs. My primary reason for going was to hang out on the beach at random times of the day and go out and party at night. If this sounds similar to what you're interested in, read on: Stayed here for five nights. Room had a great partial view of the ocean and a balcony. The layout of the room was pretty standard - the only oddity was that the closet was in the bathroom. The rooftop pool area on the 10th floor was great - pool, jacuzzi, a tropical drink bar with a stereotypical alcoholic Irishman (your mileage may vary here). What more could you ask for? The beach is a block away from the hotel - easily walkable. We were on the 7th floor and never felt like we had any issues with street-level noise. In terms of proximity to food and entertainment, it's a bit of a walk, since most of the nice restaurants, bars, and clubs are north-west along Kuhio and Kalakaua. Overall, it was a great stay. Don't let the negative reviews scare you off - you shouldn't be at the hotel very much anyway - it's what's outside of the hotel that really matters :)

Great kept secret

The staff was very courteous, the rooms were very clean and the ocean view was fantastic. The decor in the room was beautiful but I don't recommend for active kids. Great for couples who seek a romantic stay.Only a block from the beach and lots of good reastraunts near by. We definetly will be staying here again.

Great view of Waikiki Beach

My husband & I spent close to a week for our honeymoon, & honestly, it was great for the first 3 days, but Waikiki is definitely geared towards for singles and families. We wanted to relax & enjoy more nature scenes, but you need to drive out to be able to explore the beauty of Oahu. Also, be cautious of the pricing within the hotel...it is beyond expensive! Mac 24/7 has great food, but you will pay on the avearge of at least $80 + gratuity & beverages. Be prepared to pay $25/day for the parking garage as well. Overall, we had a great time, but not expecting the outrageous pricing.

Walk out on SW side of Kuhio , and you will find more local spots to have lunch & dinner that's more reasonably priced.
