Value for money
Very fiendly staff, neat, good house keeping - best hotel for the low cost. Only thing is you need to walk extra 10 minutes to reach the beach and shopping areas. But well connected by bus. If you plan to go from the hotel once in the day, finish all your activities and return at the end of the day, this is an ideal hotel for the dollar value.

to early for check out
Its so funny that we check in at 3pm and have to be out not even 24 hours. Wish the hotel industry would make exceptions or we can pay a little more to have a later checkout. I payed a full extra day just to stay 3 hours more. Have a good day

Great value!
We knew that we would be traveling around the island and that the only time in our room would be to sleep. Hawaiian Monarch truly is a great value...short walking distance to everything in Waikiki including the beach and nightlife. And, easy access to the highway to get to everything else! All of the staff was very friendly and the Cream Pot restaurant in the hotel was a huge surprise with superior food and service...honestly, it was a real treat. I would recommend this hotel to travelers who plan to explore the island and who are in need of a simple, clean place to sleep!

The staff were very helpful, the
The staff were very helpful, the room spacious and clean, the view from the 23rd floor panoramic, and the beds very comfortable. The bath needed a good clean up. Coffee supplied 1st day only! Located just 80 metres from the main drag, and about 500 metres from the heart of Waikiki, it was very good value for money. Would stay there again - yes.

I love it very much
Very Quiet, and easy access to the buses in Honolulu. And an easy walk along the shopping area towards the International Market Place, the rooms were quiet, cable TV was Ok, and very clean, and I also had a very good view of the city, there was a cafe, and sundries store, and good secruity protection, love the cards keys, and also a mini car or scooter rental, and also a Drug store, and the ABC store... Very much love the place. Also a short walk to Waikiki Beach, and the Ala Moana Shopping Center, and connections to the Bus routes. Yes I would come back. Thank You....

Accommodating-THAT'S ALL
Rooms were very basic and needed renovation, i.e. cracked basin in bathroom, drywall repairs, etc. It was difficult to find the lobby check-in due to construction going on. Location was at the far end of Waikiki so restaurants, shops, etc. were not easily attainable or in walking distance. We searched for quite a while before we found a restaurant serving breakfast. The parking structure was very convenient and the prepaid window tag allowed you to enter and exit quickly. For me and my family's purpose, we just slept, freshened up and left.
