Divide your time between the beach and the 2-mile Ala Moana Beach Park, both five minutes away by foot. The Hawaii Convention Center is just around the corner.

Above average

The hotel is in a great location, on the harbor, you can walk 5 minutes to Waikiki beach. Parking isn't bad either if you rent a car, just park across the bridge in the park its free from 4am to 10pm. The rooms however seemed very average and not what I expected for a 4 star.

Park at the park across the bridge, its much cheaper than any of the lots and you can park in a lot at night for about $10.

Good Waikiki Choice

Good facilities, well maintained and helpful staff. No trouble driving in and parking in the garage. The location overlooking the Marina was perfect for us, right next to the beach but more interesting throughout the day.

Average hotel

General experience was ok. I hate it that wifi is not free. Staying here for a work conference warrants Internet use and I feel that this should be standard, no additional fees required. Location can't be beat, since (for leisure) it's near both the local Ala Moana beach, and the touristy Waikiki beach; and (for work) it's near the convention center. Wish that late check out can be later than 1 pm, but I understand that they were fully booked. Thankfully they were willing to hold my baggage until after check out.

Great location, with a grat view

We were there at the end of december for our honeymoon, and it was great. It has an amazing view since all rooms face the ocean, if you want a better view get a higher floor. we were on the 30th and it was amazing. The hotel is not right on the beach, but it is a 10 minute walk to main beach in waikiki, and 10 minute walk to ala moana park that is amazing, and it has a beach. Also it is a 10 minute walk to ala moana mall, which provides a lot of shopping and dinning. The hotel is upscale, and nice, the rooms are decent, a little bit old, but much more modern than anything you will find in waikiki in the same price range.

Fantastic place to spend the New Year!

The Prince was beautifully decorated for Christmas! We appreciated the friendly staff, and the nice touches-- a small welcome package filled with cookies and snack mix, and a small, but elegant box of dark mac chocolates as a new year's gift. The view from our hotel wall-to-wall window was spectacular! It was an ocean view room that could see fireworks to bring on the New Year! The breakfast buffet was reasonable, delicious, providing both Japanese and American dishes. The room was spacious for eating. We liked that it was at the start of Waikiki and so we didn't experience the Waikiki crowd. We live on Oahu, and so it's nice to get away to experience a reasonable "luxury". We plan to come again. Mahalo!

Dated but windows that actually open!

Nice location (if the beach isn't your primary destination) as it is easier to get to/leave from by car than most of the hotels on Waikiki. Within a short walking distance to Ala Moana Park and shopping center and the ocean side has a nice view of Ala Wai harbor. Strongly oriented towards Japanese tourist travel (but that might be the case for most hotels in Waikiki). The only real downsides for me were that the room interior is a bit dated and the bed is overly-soft. One side note: the window in my room actually fully opened up allowing air and unobstructed views of the ocean/boat harbor. No balcony though.
