Noisy place
Great location, beach is a cross the steer, but very noisy place, we couldn't sleep due to the loud noise from the streets and car parking garages near by. All rooms have very old window frames, very loud old air conditioners. Shower has poor water flow. Hot water was gone for 2 days. We booked city view room and it was harassing that people from the next parking lot can see everything in our room, so we had to keep closed the curtains all the time.

Mediocre hotel, great location
The only reason to stay at this hotel is because of its central location across the street from the beach. The only other good thing is the friendly staff. The rooms are small. There is a small fridge in the room, but no microwave. The shower is painfully small and the head cannot even be moved. The most annoying thing was the $10.50 per day mandatory amenities fee. The claimed things covered by this were daily newspapers, a DVD kiosk, and wifi. The only thing I used was the wifi which certainly shouldn't have cost anywhere near $10 per day. These types of surprise hidden fees annoy me no end and it caused me to deduct a star from my rating.

Perfect location
This hotel has the perfect location right across from the beach. It's also centrally located in Waikiki so I was able to walk pretty much anywhere up and down the Waikiki strip. The room is on the small side and the shower is tiny, but the location and the view really makes up for the room size.

good location, but noisy
The place is in very good location, right in front of wakiki beach. But the air conditon is quite loud, making noise that could not sleep well.

Unimpressed
I chose this hotel over others that were cheaper because of reviews that I had seen online. And I was underwhelmed. The hotel is old, the rooms are small, and there are no amenities. And my supposed ocean view room was hampered by a noisy outdoor AC unit on the next building that made sitting on the balcony impossible. I would've been better off staying in a better known chain hotel.

Nice!
Not a crazy over the top hotel, Does not have a pool and the rooms are small, and the bathroom really small....but for us it was location location location. the width of the street away from the beach, walking distance of everything. the price was fair. we liked it. Staff was solid helped us with whatever we needed, ex. Directions, early check in, late check out, and what not. It worked for us.

Sightseeing tip:
Short walk from hotel
When you cross the street the beach is right there but so are all the people, just walk 5 mins down the sidewalk west of there and you get much more sandy beaches to yourself and far less people in the water. if you have a car take the 15-20 min drive west to Sandy Beach Park, far less people all sandy beaches and waters no rocks or coral for the most part. Also there can be some big waves!
