Good location... Dirty Hotel

The location of the hotel was nice. It is located right across the Hilton, which has their own beach front. The hotel itself was horrible. The room was infested with bugs, the room key NEVER worked, you are charged for parking per day. I would not recommend this hotel nor would I stay there again.

There is a local diner right next door that serves a descent breakfast for $5. If you show your room key, you get 10% off your meal.

Terrible Hotel

Hotel was in the process of renovations. Elevators took forever and the wait times were long (as long as 5 minutes). Parking was extra and was not noted when the trip was booked. Over all experience was bad. Will not be returning to this hotel or booking with orbitz.

AVOID Aqua Anything!!!

Far from 3 star/3 diamond. This is an average 2 star hotel. It's clean but small and has poor customer service - and my reservation clearly stated that there were 4 people in my party (2 adults 2 kids) yet they gave me a room with 1 queen and a pull out couch. Not what I signed up for!!! They claimed to be booked and would not change my room. They stated they upgraded my view - but upon entering my room I had a view of a pole. What an upgrade! Be prepared to wait forever to catch an elevator as only 1 works and to pay $20/day to park your car.

terrible hotel!

I found couple of (5 or 6) cockroaches in the hotel room which made me dislike it. The rooms are so tiny too..too small for 3 people or more in a room, but if you're 1 or 2 rooms might be ok. bathroom's very small too. You'll have a hard time opening or closing the bathroom door if you're inside. In general it was dirty place. My bed was not flat and level. Every night I rolled down to my right. It had wireless internet, free TV channels, microwave, a little mini-fridge and a porch which are all great. It was 5-7 min walking to the beach. parking $20 a night. free coffee in the lobby which was not even worth tasting it! had awesome staff! No restaurant in hotel and no gym. I recommend paying $30 more a night and go to a better place :)

Devil and dishonesty are in the details

Great staff, helpful with a room change. Surprise charge of $80.00 for parking. Told because I had booked on-line. If paid for full room fee, would have had free parking. Eighty dollars is not a big deal if you know about it and agree in advanced. A rip-off is a rip-off. Paid fifty dollar premium for view of beach from 9th floor. Had to move to different room on 8th floor with view of street because some outlets and lan connection were dead. No refund.

Very friendly but needs more bang per buck

This hotel experience could have been so much better with very little effort/investment. Eg: in the high-end suite, which was very nice and roomy, there were only 4 plastic hangers, no luggage racks and coffee, soap, lotion were not replenished daily and there was no Do Not Disturb sign for door so housekeeping staff kept waking us up in a the am. The TV was mounted behind the bed which made it difficult to watch. Did not get wake-up call requested and mistake at front office had us checking out a day earlier which we only found out about from the housekeeping staff. That being said, all the staff was extremely pleasant. The Aqua hotels boast access to the owner providing personal numbers for General Manager and director of guest services as well. As we needed a bigger room and the staff was uncertain as to availability, I called the GM to see if a bigger room was available at another Aqua property. He called back immediately and expedited the request.

You get what you pay for

I chose the hotel because I only wanted a room for one evening, en route to somewhere else...the hotel was difficult to get to, difficult to find (it's somewhat hidden from the road and easy to miss) expensive to park at, the garage is rather narrow and frightening (don't even TRY it with a mid-size vehicle!) and the rooms were fine, but about what I expected for the price and nothing more.

Careful

The Hotel was average the problem was with the elevators, three total, 2 working. it took up to 20 minutes to get any where. The garage was tight if you had anything other than a compact plus $20 a day parking. The light in the bathroom wasn't conducive for doing anything in the mirror or the shower. The continental breakfast was very weak. Red apples and bananas was all the fruit,(yes no pineapple). Mini muffins, juice and coffee with powered creamer.
