My experience in Oahu
The front desk staff were very friendly, the location is very close to all the shopping and restaurants. The price is reasonable as well!

It is what it is...
To be honest, the room we had reminded me of how I lived when I resided in Honolulu, Hawaii. It felt old and a little dilapidated, but I was used to it. For others, it may not fair as well. The staff was very nice. It was easy to engage in conversation with the people at the front desk. They're personable. We were lucky to be on the 2nd floor where the laundromat and service staff were at. All-in-all, our stay was good. If money is tight while you're in the islands, give Ambassador a "holla!"

Ambassador Hotel is good value
The location may be a bit away from the crowd, but we find it quite good in fact. The room is clean and adequately equipped. Internet is free but is lined. It won't accept more than one computer at a time even when we converted it to wireless. Good value and we definitely recommend it.

The second floor is really loud at 5am each day so we had great difficulty sleeping. There is also no wifi. The room was clean and the staff was very friendly. The hotel just needs to be updated with soundproof terrace doors and free wifi.

Great value
The Ambassador is an older hotel that is well maintained/updated., is close to downtown Honolulu and on a bus line. .We have travelled to Hawai'i several times over the past decade, and always been satisfied with our accommodations there.

Good, but noisy.
The staff were friendly and competent. The guests are mostly Japanese, who evidently don't drink much coffee. So, there is no coffee maker in the rooms. But, they will bring you one if you request. Beds were good; shower only, but good water pressure. Good Business Center. --- My biggest complaint with this hotel is the noise that the heavy room doors make when they close. The door "brakes" are evidently not set correctly --- so you hear the loud slamming of doors 24 hours a day.

Good deal at great price!
I chose this hotel because of the high rating and because of the low price. The staff was friendly. The room was nice. I felt very comfortable in the hotel. The only thing that was disappointing was that there were no cups in the room, and I had to request it.
