Great stay!
We couldn't ask for better. The location is perfect. The rooms are dated but very clean and comfortable. You use them to home out of not live in. Good water pressure in the shower. Good AC. Awesome presentation when you enter the lobby. Great staff and terrific housekeeping. We loved our balcony facing the ocean andCoconut Island. Would stay there every time but would eat elsewhere. Dining area has it all but the food is not the greatest. However, there are plenty of eating places nearby as the hotel has the ideal location.

one night stay
The hotel was fairly nice. Everything worked out good for us. We only stayed overnight. We went there to visit our nephew that was there at a youth program. I would stay at this hotel again. We had the buffet there it was good but a bit pricey.

Much more than we expected!
Well kept hotel with extremely helpful staff. Nice view from room, enjoyed the balcony a lot. Restaurant and Lounge were popular with hotel visitors as well and the local residents. Really liked that we could walk to so many places too. We will definitely be staying at Hilo Hawaiian on our next visit.

Good hotel for Hilo
A great room except for: 1. noisy Banyan Trees birds 2. no king beds available @ check in 3. I do not recommend their breakfast buffet (bad service, & not the yummiest food, except for the delicious guava juice)

Nice Staff, not such a nice room
Nice staff and very friendly. The room was sub par at best. A/C did not function properly, smelled very musty, no iron or board, no blow dryer, (they will send to your room if you call) carpet was dirty, chairs at table were dirty and stained, bathroom was in need of new linoleum, overall, not a place I would choose 1st to stay at next time.

Perfect in Hilo
This hotel is the perfect place to stay if you are in Hilo. The staff bend over backward to make your stay perfect. The only negative I have is that the Saturday night buff. is really expensive, extremely good food, but pricey.
